So after games and games with Bard I still cannot find one good damn reason for his ult. (besides to troll) Any help with some insight. Seriously please!

Use it on someone Sion is charging towards. Proceed to ensue with hilarity.

Use it on a tower for a safe dive with a jungler.

Use it to postpone Drag/Baron so your team can get there.

Use it on your tower to prevent it from being destroyed, and your team to arrive to aid it.

Use it to protect an ally that's targeted by an important, long range spell, like Xerath's, Caitlyn's, or an incoming Jinx rocket or Ashe arrow.

Use it to counter engage and freeze the enemy team after they blow their ranged engage, like Sejuani's ult.

Use it to freeze your Nexus when the enemy is attacking to get the extra time needed for death timers.

I ulted teammates to save them from Zed's ultimate damage. It's a free zhonya's.

Last night I ulted Zac's blobs while Vi stood over him trying to kill him. Saved his life and he got the kill.

I ult dragon and baron to give my team time to arrive, or ult whoever has smite on the enemy team for an easier steal.

I also ult enemies that I want to keep out of a teamfight, like the fed Jinx hanging out in the backline.

Some obvious uses include ulting enemies as they chase you, or ulting them to keep them in place while your team gets in position. Just last night I ulted a Ahri trying to recall under turret after she escaped my boyfriend's Amumu q. He walked right up to her and ulted, scoring the kill. 'Are you ready if I ult her?' I told him. 'Absolutely, do it!' he said.
