Juggernauts in 8.10

So as a Juggernaut main i'm just wondering where's all the talks about how The Juggernauts Darius Garen Yorick Mordekaiser Illaoi Nasus Trundle DrMundo Shyvana Udyr Volibear are going be affected in 8.10 whens adcs get true dmg. It seems all the talks are all about Assassins. Personally I feel that we shouldn't give adc's true dmg because then all their damage just ignore my resistances and Juggernauts need to have the ability to live long enough to do their damage because all their damage potential relies are some that takes time to come into use. Darius needs to stack his bleeds, Garen with his villian passive, Yorick needs his ghouls and maiden, Nasus needs to stack is Q Illoai needs her tentacles.

Juggernauts are in a sad state, they're very weak, the only times Juggernauts ever get viable in high elo is when they can a buse a certain mechanic or item, or when they're just plain overwhelming. You know what's the saddest part about that? people in lower elo tend to think juggernauts are OP, they're not.

I agree with you, worst part is, juggernauts also build a lot of damage, and mostly health, so they don't have a lot of armor and magic resist to begin with, definitely not as much as tanks, they just tend to have a lot of sustain in their kits and are heavily rewarded for reaching an enemy.

Sadly Juggernauts are bound to never be top tier due to their lack of mobility, because if Riot were to ever buff Juggernaut mobility they'd become OP.

at the very least, the threshold of where the new infinity edge is more effective than the old one, should be at 150 armor, and not around 60...

but i hate the idea of how the damage conversion will affect % damage reduction abilities of tanks and fighters. usually these abilities are somehow short windowed and their proper utilization a large part of their kits skill expression.

Warwick Irelia Garen on top of my head are reliant on their % damage reduction abilities, and they shouldnt just be passively bypassed.

i hope riot changes direction on infinity edge just slightly and swaps the true damage for a more conventional dps increase. there were a couple of good suggestions over the past couple weeks.

  • an attack speed buff that activates and is refreshed on crits
  • a ramping up ad bonus like the old fervor of battle
  • a stacking armor pen buff, like 3% on every crit against the target, that stacks up to like 30% and resets when the adc switches target

all of those seem a lot healthier than the damage conversion to true damage.

id prefer they replace the true damage on conqueror with an armor pen buff aswell.

Atleast the list you listed got items to build while Urgot got no items to build and worst of all you didn't even mention him which prove he doesn't belong in game anymore item 3070

For what it's worth:

Trundle jungle is a very strong counter to Olaf, who's basically S tier in the jungle. He's also strong against a fair number of tanky picks (Sejuani and others) who gain / lose armor over the course of a fight, due to how his ulti works.

Yorrick is also a nightmarish split pusher.

Beyond that.. yeah, eh.

Juggernauts stack health and very few build heavily in resistances. The true damage won't affect them nearly as much as it will tanks, who have been struggling in everything but the highest levels of organized play much more.
