I know that at first I didn't take the nerf Urgot post seriously because he was finally being picked up by pros. Now that thought has definitely changed. Top lane during the play in stage is literally ban or try to counter Urgot. He is crowding out other picks accept 
and licorice's 
. This isn't really any better tank vs tank and put you to sleep top lane. I want to see 
and others not the same 3 champions almost every game.
To be honest, I'd RATHER see Urgots, Akalis, Aatroxs, and Lissandras toplane, duking it out at Worlds, instead of the usual tired old horses you mentioned (save for Yorick).
Not a single one of these 4 champions has had Worlds spotlight in YEARS (some never), so I say let them shine and do their thing. We see Darius, Fiora, GP, and all of them all the time, so it's refreshing to see new picks top, even if there are so few picks.

As someome who watchs LCK I'm tired of GP being played too much, Aatrox and Urgot are a breath of new air
Nah we don’t need Irelia and Darius in these games.
Haven't seen many Akali tops to be honest. Check out her win rates these days. They're terrible. I loved the old Akali and the new one too. But she is soon to be banished to oblivion even in the pro game. Further, you can't just pick her first because she has a ton of counters in the pro game where team coordination is much better.
