Can we nerf Morgana's q?

It is way too op. It has: High base damage 90% ap ratio Three second snare at level 5 and just because it's a snare doesn't mean it should be extremely long Huge range Big hitbox which is broken

Downside?

It's a bit slow..

Every Time I say this people give the same responses, she needs them in her kit as an ap Mage. Which is bullcrap because she is mostly played support and even is given out as in the free champion rotation as a support. But even is she is an ap Mage it's out right a stupid ability. Secondly even if it's a snare it shouldn't be so damn long. The cool down itself is very short. The power of locking down a person, chunking their health by half, and then being able to have your team kill the person with 2 seconds left on the snare is disgusting.

The crazy hitbox on Morgana's Q can work to her disadvantage bigtime when it fouls on minions instead of hitting the champion it was meant for.

Originally Morgana was meant for the mid lane back on release but I see how now with a lot damage removed (look at her old W sometime it used to shred a lot of mr) all she does is support. But luckily Riot has added some great ways to stop her. These being item 3111/item 3172 and item 3139/item 3102. Now with a cc effect of 3 seconds 35% tenacity has a huge impact bringing it down to only 1.95 seconds then if you add the 10% from the newly moved tenacious mastery her snare time is only 1.65 seconds and if you buy elixir of iron you get a shocking 70% tenacity bringing the snare to only 0.9 seconds (also if you have Garen or DrMundo then they can achieve 100% tenacity with the previous method+ their w's). The next 2 items completely removed Morgana 's snare allowing for a quick escape or a hard engage with the threat of the snare down. item 3102 is better then item 3139 for dueling Morgana 1 on 1 since only her q and r actually pop the spell shield and item 3139 is better on adcs since it provides the highest amount of ad in the game with a lot of MR and the ability to completely remove Morgana's q. As you can see Riot has provided lots of ways to either remove or heavily reduce the effect of Morgana's q and now you know that you can pick DrMundo support to stop a Morgana since your q is on a shorter and later you are immune to cc.

I used to think Morgana's Q was OP as hell. After playing her quite a bit, I realized that it isn't at all. It has a slow speed and is relatively easy to dodge. It can also be blocked by minions or other champions. So there is plenty of counterplay to it. Without it Morgana is pretty much a worthless champion because her kit is based around it. Without Q, her W will not do enough damage for her to be able to trade with anyone.

First of all, Riot pushed her into the support role when she was built to be a mid lane mage, and she still goes mid from time to time and can wreck people. Second, her Q is her main source of power and is fine as is. Third, it is extremely slow, and the long range can also hinder her as it can hit minions instead of champions. Fourth, there are so many other champions that have snares/stuns that hit for a long time too, so stop complaining.

They nerfed Riven, Nida, thresh Q's already by alot from their old OP states. Learn your patch notes, it was worse.

They nerfed Rammus and Fiddlestick 3 seconds CC but nothing for Morgana yet. I just don't get it : She does HIGH DAMAGE and you're free food for 3 seconds with that snare (Being able to AA and do some spells IS NOT enough)... I don't mind the damage, but it's the only CC with a 3 seconds duration in the game (correct me if I'm wrong).

Nerf Q snare duration to 2 seconds (1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8/2.0 depending on rank or 1.25/1.5/1.75/2.0/2.25) Add a NEW passive to Q to compensate damage dealt to champions since the duration is lower : Morgana now does bonus damage to enemy champion with W by 10% and if it makes the W too strong early or mid game then make it so the passive levels up with Q rank by 2/4/6/8/10% depending on rank.

There, problem almost solved. You can check if 10% is too much pre-9/13 and if it is, you add the scale up from level-up. Morgana is nerfed ALOT if you reduce Q duration, then make it so W does more damage with Q lvl up so it makes her intact when she reaches lvl 9 or 13 without destroying her farm Middle lane (Or even always intact if bonus damage is 10% at lvl 1).

EDIT : You can even add the bonus damage to champios directly into W since it's the last thing morgana support levels up (nerfs support role) while mid-Morg levels it up first or second (keeps mid intact)
