so , they nerf galio , by in the same time they buffed his ap ratio on this ability plus the % damage based on hp of his opponent this makes it more of a buff
1 nerf + 2 buffs = 1 buff

in a 2 words , whatever dmg he lost from the nerf he actually gains it back to the ap ratio

But yes, buffing Galio is beyond idiotic.

Not a nerf. Not a buff.

It's called a power shift. They are just moving power from one location to another spot. Caitlyn's last buff was basically that where they sapped power from the traps to the rest of her kit.

Where's the nerf?

His passive and W both got straight up buffed (massively)

His Q got overall buffed (losing 30 base damage for scaling % HP damage, whose base value also got an increase) + 15% ratio

His E probably only got slightly nerfed til 15 minutes in the game...if you maxed it first. Which almost no one did, so no nerf there either (level 1 base damage is the same)

It's all buffs to any build except full tank with no Abyssal Mask

He got a slight nerf on his W, where the damage reduction is reduced to half agaisnt physical damage. The rest were MASSIVE buffs.

That's as long as you live in universe where champion can only be buffed or nerfed as whole. They didn't aim to flat out nerf him. They wanted to do power-shift, forcing him to build more AP If he wanted to achieve damage by nerfing base values and buffing scaling.

Did they do it correctly? Apparently not. But that wasn't intended nerf or buff. Even then, it would be interpreted as nerf to Tank Galio and buff to AP Galio.

Its supposed to kill the effectiveness of 6 tank item Galio. But all it did was make Full ap galio a nightmare

it isn't directly a buff though so much as a change, you need AP to restore the damage loss which galio before didn't build any of

The idea was to make him build AP instead of tanky

The issue is, his kit scream tank so they have to buff the ratios to make it an incensite over building tank. His kit is designed to be a tank.

They designed him to build tanky with some AP. Now, Riot is trying to change that but the kit can’t do that. So they gave him to much scaling lol

They need galio to be an anti AP champion.He wasn't. Now at least he can hold his lane mid. But the problem is design wise, and those number wont help

In fact it's supposed to nerf galio full tank and buff galio ap. Because what were you seeing everytime? Tank Galio because is AP counterpart was not relevant at all.
