CAN WE MARK A PLAYER AS FAVORITE, AND HAVE A BETTER CHANCE TO BE QUEUE/PLACE WITH IT?

I want to know if the new client could have a option to add players to your "favorite" list, similar to friend list, and when you queue you have priority to be placed with that player.

If isn't possible, at least let us save their names on our "favorite list" so we can invite them to play with us in normals, or to duo in SoloQ.

I'm suggesting this cause I don't think "friend list" can be used for this, when players add someone as "friend" usually they do just to keep in touch or talk, but this list could be use to keep a list of players you enjoy playing with, players that aren't toxic and can help you win more games, can even help you improve.

What you guys think?

Is it too much to hope for a @Riot reply?

I have a bunch of people on my friends list for this; they were just awesome people. Just edit the note underneath their name with something you'll remember so that you don't accidentally delete them if they do a name change.

I do that sometimes, but still I think we can have something focused on that, rather than use another feature for this.

Friend list = friends

Favorite list = good teammates

Create a folder in your friends list for good teammates. It's a whole lot easier than Riot modifying the matchmaking code to accommodate this iffy idea.

Isn't about me, just think it could be a good idea to enhance the experience for players, if you're toxic you'll be in few "favorite" list, thus increasing your queue time, if you're a good teammate you'll be placed faster and with players that like you cause they had a good experience beside you.

I think it's a win-win situation, you're free to disagree, just want a rioter to see this and maybe think about it. It could always be easier than you think to implement.

For the same reason as the block list doesn't affect matchmaking, neither does the friends list. Both would create a "prisoner's island" of sorts for toxic and "bad" players, so the toxicity would feed on itself and get worse. Edit: New players especially would be affected by this, as they are already harassed constantly by smurfs so they'll default start with very few favourite list additions.

shouldn't matter as long as only positive marks count. The prisoners island will probably be bigger than the not prisoners island and even then you aren't necessarily getting matched with them and everyone who has good behavior wont get off the island, itll be those who have a lot of people favoriting them

Doesn't mean the community won't blow it out of proportion and assume. People will spam it whenever they meet anyone who carried (we both know that).

We learnt this year with Dynamic queue that even if 4+1 or 5 was rare (it was mostly groups of 3 or 2), people still blamed their losses on 4 or 5-mans. What the community believes is often more important than the reality.

either way, either you aren't a bad person or you carry people.

trolls get nothing. Ragers get nothing.

LostFr0st1 votes

But what about the new players that aren't either of those QQ They'll get stuck with the trolls and Ragers and think that's normal behaviour...

implying there's anything new about that?

Sigh. I'm biased right now and it's just sad. Nothing other than sad. I have a friend who just joined and is having to deal with ragers in a lot of games (only taken her into ARAM)... I just don't want it to get worse than it already is. QQ

I wonder if you ever would have met your friend if she didn't have an interesting reputation outside of the community lol.

It works roughly the same way.

Holy crap that's heartless. She doesn't have such a rep, she's a normal person.

I don't want a system where I never get to meet anyone other than sunshine and trihards either, I guess that's just me? Trolls and Ragers are like setting off fireworks accidentally too close to your house, it adds spice and excitement to life.

Nothing heartless about it. Reality has a great system for matching people. We should learn from it. You like your friend? You met your friend for a reason, something made the meeting realistic. Prisoner islands exist in real life but in real life those who want to escape are able to do so by changing their behavior while "normal people" see little change aside from a smaller number of extreme deviants

it wont reduce wait time

+1

Just wanted to point out that this could actually solve a lot of problems in the community and would likely be a good replacement for the honor system
