Why does twisted treeline have Specialized versions of SR items?

Im pretty sure that the original items that these are based on have all had and additional stat tacked on or have been updated in some way, but either way these items dont feel good to purchase(Except for Witchcap). ANd why is there no Thornmail? im sure i have forgoten an item thats not on this map or tweaked for this map but i dont understand why It has these items as an attempt to balance it but without riot keeping an eye on the state of the game mode all they do is make me regret playing the mode in the first place.

Overlord's and Sanguine date back to when Warmog's and Bloodthirster had stacking mechanics that made them unsuitable for Treeline and Scar. Wooglet's was to help mages survive in the confined map and remove the trap option of rushing Deathcap. Pillager and Dervish were intended to be appealing to Marksmen, yet somewhat unattractive to Assassins. I don't remember the reasoning for Thornmail's removal.

Not sure why you have an issue with Sanguine though. Sanguine with stacks is incredibly gold-efficient. It's much better than BT for autoattackers in most situations.
