After the season 5 soft reset will i be able to gain normal LP?

Hi guys,

I was placed in Silver 5 this season went S4 then i fucked and dropped to B1 and B2 if i lose 1 more game so ain't playing ranked game but my question is i am gaining like 13 LP per win and losing 25 LP per lose while i used to gain something like 28 LP per win and lot less per loss so after this season's ranked reset will i be able to gain normal LP again? According to OP.GG i belong in paper division :( cuz my MMR is a lot less.

well, you will be placed in a new divison based on your placement record and your MMR

You will likely place lower, even if you win most of your placements. Cause I think the 'soft reset' at end of season goes more by your mmr than your ranking. But yes, after that, lp gains/losses should be more normalized. Unless you get heavily trolled in your 10 placement matches and either lose or win WAY more of them than you should have. (by either having afk/intentional feeders on your/their team repeatedly.)

If you're in bronze, I see no reason to stop playing rank to avoid dropping. It will not effect your mmr much at all and you could always get back to silver and get shiny loading border.

Yeah the resets go by your MMR, and it sets it a little lower than you had before anyway. I tanked mine hard towards the end of last season so I got dumped down into bronze this season despite winning more placements than in the previous season.

Also, there's not really any reason to not play further to preserve your rank. You get nothing for being in bronze, so you might as well try to get higher up.

You will probably be placed in low Bronze if you stop playing ranked now but after that your mmr will be "fixed". I had very bad mmr at the end of Season 4 too so I got placed in Silver II after my 4-6 placements (from Gold III) but it is easy to climb back then.
