Give us URF pls
Posted this as a response to a post about URF, but I feel like having a discussion of it's own is needed.
Riot hasn't taken into account that URF doesn't cause players to leave, it's taking URF away. Playrate declined AFTER URF both times, not during. They don't account for the fact that it may be due to 1) they took away URF and people prefer URF so they don't want to play boring League 2) Meta changes may have happened that caused people to enjoy the game less and quit and 3) Other factors may have caused a rapid decline. They only had regular URF 2 or 3 times, which is too small of a sample size to make drastic conclusions on (at least in my opinion). Even if players not liking the base game as much is the reason they quit after URF, if they brought URF back a few times a year many people would probably come back to League. As of right now League is stagnant as hell and a lot of people are quitting, even big streamers and Youtubers. Bring back fun events like URF and fun games modes (The Bilgewater event was pretty fun) and people will want to play more.
Also not only is ARURF stagnant and boring, but right now you can't even trade. Like it's bad enough that it's all random and we don't get bans, but seriously? If Clash isn't working you may as well have fixed that major bug before releasing ARURF.
I'm just getting really sick of this "small indie company" with such a huge following not doing things that allow the community to enjoy the game anymore. It's all about base stats (like the "player decline stat" after URF came out the first few times) that may not fully represent what's happening. It just seems like Riot doesn't give a crap about the community and their enjoyment of the game. The whole community, even those who quit, want URF back. Give your playerbase what it wants. Seriously, you're a multibillion dollar company that can't bring back a game mode that the community desperately wants- and hell- NEEDS to make this game less boring. People are tired of you guys ignoring this and making excuses. Bring back URF.
