Grievous Wound is the most anti-fun mechanic this game has!
When your ADC (or Assassin) doesn't buy
early enough against champions with heavy heal or selfheal it ruins your game.
When your enemies buy
and 1 or 2 champion on your team rely on heavy heal or selfheal it ruins the game.
Why is this ok? It's cheap, it's mandatory, has no counterplay and guts champions in half to the point that just picking the champion wasn't worth (that is when a smart player actually abuses it).
The fact that a good amount of players doesn't realize how impactful cheap GW is (and hence keeps ruining games), doesn't justifiy its existence neither does it make the effect balanced or healthy for the game.
For the record
a rather cheap item (though not as cheap as
or
) was nerfed from 12% reduction to 10% in patch 7.11 because so much reduction was apparently too powerful. How does this make sense? GW and its 40% reduction needs to be brought to a reasonable level or just bring heals to a reasonable level so we don't need GW to begin with. Stop this fake balance now!
