By a bronze for a bronze.
So I don't usually play ranked, but I have been playing a lot lately. About 6 games per day with a bit of a break here and there. I've been doing this for 2 weeks. I was B3, I am now B1 60 lp on a 56% win rate solo. So I have noticed some things while I have been grinding out this top lane.
- People keep perma shoving top against me.
Guys, this is not the answer, especially against a
, where he can freeze the lane, chunk you when you try to harass him (cause everyone tries to go balls to the wall on me as
early, which is good but you are doing it wrong) then you have to tp. That is when I shove lane, base, then walk back in time to catch the wave and have tp advantage.
- Everyone tries to play high skill cap champs cause they think they are good.
You're not. Neither am I. This is why I stick to easy champs like
and
. All these champs are WAY easier to play than champs like
and
. Do yourselves a favor and play easier champs. It'll make the lane more fun and challenging.
- People are more interested in kills than farming and objectives.
NO! THAT'S A BAD SUMMONER!! GO LAY DOWN!!! Seriously though. Stop chasing into fog of war, stop burning all your sums and ult for a champ that isn't worth anything (a 0/9/0 skarner for example), and stop for the love of god running down mid after literally EVERY TIME YOU BASE. Take some time to farm up a bit, grab some cs, some items, and get stronger. You don't need to team fight perpetually from minute 5 till a nexus falls.
Last but certainly not least.
- People focus on bickering too much.
HOLY CRAP this is a big one. It literally loses games. How does that make you feel? You lose yourself and your team games by flaming others. It's true. Whether it be because you die while typing, or make someone afk cause you are a douche canoe, it DOES NOT HELP. Be supportive, encourage others. If they are behind, then avoid fighting 4v5 so they can farm. Encourage them that you can all still win. But the same goes in reverse, if you screw up, know that you screwed up and admit your faults. The game will be a lot simpler and you will win more, end of story.
Just figured I would share some things I noticed since I have been playing the hell out of ranked. By all memes, post below and share some things you have learned as well, bronze or not. After all, knowing is half the battle.
. Take
.
is your goal for first back. This lets you sustain through pretty much anything. If enemy has lane pressure against you, start out with either
or
, depending on damage type. If not, rush Rylai's and continue to AFK farm.
now. Keep that lane dominance so they feel compelled to go teamfight. Take 2 towers and keep lane a little pushed so you have a little say in what happens with objectives. Be smart about your lack of TP. Vlad's a horrible TP user anyway, though.
UNLESS YOU ARE AGAINST 4 AP THAT ARE RELATIVELY TANKY. IT IS A BAD EARLY ITEM ON HIM NOW UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED IT TO SUSTAIN ENOUGH TO FARM SAFELY.
