Instead of SMS, why don't we use an Authenticator instead?

It could just be a simple companion app, like the one Blizzard has. And it would fix a lot of things for people that have screwy phones but a stable internet connection.

Google provides an app for this service so there's no development needed (not that it's actually hard to make an auth app actually. Riot hire me. I need a job.)

But yeah there's no reason not to have it as an option.
