That'd be something new for this game.

I think he means making the jungle items require mats that drop from jungle camps.

It'd probably just be annoying tbh if you needed specific items from specific camps and laners or the enemy took them.

But that doesn't mean it couldn't work. What if the jungle items costed less gold, and the camps gave less gold so laners wouldn't tax them, and you'd use these mats.

Annoying or part of the challenge? Now your team has to be aware for your jungler as well. It would be a natural incentive to encourage people to ward as well.

I'm sorry, but what do you mean by a material requirement?

Also, by jungle items, do you mean core jungle items (Stalker's/Skirmisher's/Ranger's/Poacher's) or jungle enchants (Warrior/Cinderhulk/Magus/Devourer)?

Well don't limit yourself to augmenting what's already there.

The current trend in league is that it's starting to incorporate more aspects of the map into the gameplay as opposed to it just being a non-reactive field like a chess board.

This is the objective chase, as demonstrated by the recent dragon changes and smite based jungle monster affects.

I think the jungle would be more engaging and just generally more enjoyable to play (at least for me) if there were Jungle-minion bounty objectives.

It could work as follows:

You equip a jungle item that let's you collect /specific/ jungle-minion souls, and then exchange those souls for jungle items.

Personally I think it can help diversify jungle pattern killing as opposed to starting in the same location based on your jungler, you would start to get the particular jungle item you need based on the souls you need to collect, which to me is more freeing and diverse.

This is just an interpretation, but ultimately the basic formula is "Kill X jungle minion(s) to get Y base item or Upgraded version with or without gold cost."
