Quinn and Valor
Seeing that Quinn and valor is free this week, I've been wondering why nobody plays her. I mean I love the champion but it seems that nobody shares that love with me. I rarely see any streamers play her as well. Opinions?

I main Quinn and honestly I can sum up in one word why she doesn't get played much:
Ignorance.
Whenever I see someone talking about how Quinn isn't viable, or she's bad late game, it just tells me they don't know how to play her.
I think she's just unpopular because
She's good. She's real good. But you're going to get flack for using her. JUST today I get in a game and straight away the Teemo on my team is telling me how Quinn is a weak pick, how she falls off late game, etc... Tells me I'm going to be worthless after 15 minutes into the game. Guess what? I go 13/1/6 that game. The Teemo? 3/8/6
But even after that game where I carried hard, he wouldn't admit Quinn was good. His excuse was that I "got fed" but that I still shouldn't be playing Quinn.
I mean... what do I have to do to convince a person Quinn is viable? I won the early game, I won the mid game. I ganked bot and killed both bot laners, I was strong at picking off their damage dealers in late game... but oh man, it's all just because I got fed.
I will admit she's not a strong ADC. In those situations, you'll likely lose lane. But so what? Typically right after your bot lane tower falls, the enemy bot roams around and leaves their bot lane tower free to take. I see it all the time. Plus, Quinn has the ability to DELETE nearly every ADC in the game, even when she's 2 levels behind them.
Also... she's INCREDIBLY viable as a mid laner. But good luck convincing anyone of that. You know that 13/1/6 game I mentioned? Mid laned against a Xerath. I took heaps of damage but he could never close out a kill on me, and I eventually got strong enough to roam bot and take out both of their bot laners, giving my bot lane a huge lead, putting myself ahead in mid, and the mid laner got practically nothing.
While I'd love to see her get some of her buggy AA fixed (and her current glitch of her passive not activating when you are max distance from targets) I really don't think she needs a huge buff.
Honestly I like that she is underplayed because it means she is almost never banned or picked. If she got really popular, I might not get to play her nearly as much.
I play Quinn quite a lot in bot lane. She is a great 1v1 champion and a great lane bully. If she gets slightly ahead early she is hard to shut down since she has great mobility, vision control and good burst if you can use the passive correctly (passive proc>E>passive proc again). However, she has some weaknesses that imo keep her unappreciated. She lacks reliable range thus being vulnerable to ADCs with huge range like Ashe and Cailyn as well as poke supports like Lulu. She also has a hard time coming back if she falls behind. Her teamfight presense is veery bad and the only thing she can do is try to assassinate the enemy ADC or wait and cleanup with Valor. Finally, her late game scaling is not as good as other ADCs (not saying she scales bad, she's just not a hypercarry). Weaknesses aside, I believe she is a very strong champion in the right hands and can definirely carry.
I heard Quinn is a bot lane reject, who exerts all her hatred on top laners
But so far, I've yet to see a bad bot lane Quinn
i love her too, my friends say that she is garbage... (i secretly hate my friends)
I own every skin =3
and lol @ people who think she's weak against other ADs
i've outdueled Dravens that are up a full item on me before. just ult, blind, burst, execute.
Basically her range and ability scalings are what's holding her back. She gets poked out early game and has really bad ability scaling. Her blind doesn't scale, and she pretty much just doesn't outgrow her early game damage handicap. You max her Q first, you get waveclear but no burst potential. Max her W first, you get huge vision control and dueling potential, but your abilities do no damage. Max her E first, and you've got damage and disengage, but can't do anything in teamfights except ult squishies.
That being said, she's a nightmare to deal with top because her bullying potential against melee champs is ridiculous. Of course, This is also easily mitigated by playing caster champions like Ryze and Pantheon.
1v1 Quinn is actually very good. She's not an uncommon pick in 1v1 tournaments. Just fyi
She is overall a weak ADC. Short range, her mobility puts her into danger. Her ult turns her into a melee.
If played in other rolls she's amazing though. The mobility from her ult makes ganking other lanes work very well. She's one of those top lanners that make people complain about ranged top lanners(with good reason, fyi, she hard counters Riven). Mid lane works a bit differently but overall ends the same. Poke, play safe, abuse your passive/E. Gank other lanes with R.
After that the problem comes down to that she mostly builds squishy. You generally want some tankiness from your top lane, and her waveclear/burst is limited as a mid lanner. There are just better picks in almost every lane over her. She's a strong solo Q champ in top lane and situational in other lanes. In 5's/pro's she's easier to shut down. Just don't expect much as an ADC unless you get a real quick lead. Because she does fall off late game(again, short range, limited mobility).

She's an AADCADC (Anti-ADC ADC). She basically tries to shut down the other ADC as hard as possible and make them useless. I played her quite a bit in ranked and own her epic skin, she's pretty damn good if you're fed, you can kill nearly anything, but its VERY HARD to catch up if you fuck up. She has no waveclear and doesn't have the range if youre behind.
I really don't know why people dislike her. I've played her both ADC bottom lane and in the top lane as more of a bruiser, she's got great map presence with her ult, it's hard to escape her, and she does quite a bit of damage.
i do watch this one guy who mainly supports, but when he goes top he is a beast at playing Quinn! honestly i dont get it either, but i guess its because all the "pros" dont use/play her that often so people dont usually use her!
Thanks. :)
Yeah I feel like something will eventually have to happen with Quinn. Hopefully just some QoL improvements... She's quite glitchy.
REALLY?!?!?!
I'm sorry, but I've actually been really REALLY considering learning her since I've been finding myself having some anxiety issues with laning after getting used to the jungle and I hear she's a safe top pick.
I know her kit isn't particularly powerful, and she isn't a strong ADC compared to others, but I see a lot of potential for fun with her.
Popular opinion is that Quinn's most viable position is as a hard counter to top lane melee champs. That's why Quinn top gets played. Her E spell is a very powerful engage/anti engage spell, and on top of that Q provides a blind. She's not seen as effective as a bot laner because against ranged champs E doesn't help mitigate much damage and Q is blockable by minions. That and her somewhat shorter range.
Quinn is good at laning top. The issue is you need to not make many mistakes because even though you are an ADC Quinn is not super great late game. I doubt we'll see her much in competitive ever because she doesn't provide much utility in fights.
I play Quinn top lane and it's really fun. You can use her mid lane as well to make the best of her ultimate. Other than that, I think Quinn needs some love to get a little more popular. God forbid she could definitely use it.
I have seen a good mid Quinn yesterday. While she had no chance to fight me face to face every gank which forced me out of lane she started ganking. Since our jungler was horrible, theirs focussed midlane and they always had crab-control she was able to put up a lot of pressure.
Sadly our botlane (including an apparently bought Plat 1 account on Ezreal) had absolutely no map awareness ( I permanently had the river pinked as well as the enemy jungle entrance warded) and botlane didn't react to a sinlge freaking ping...
While most botlanes are not as easy to gank as ours that game I believe that Quinn does put a lot of pressure on the enemy if played well, especially if their jungler focusses on her lane and crab control.
Well I main
but if for whatever reason I must ADC and occasionally top then I go Quinn. She is actually great, people say her late game is bad but I disagree, spot someone wandering alone and you are an amazing assassin, in teamfights you can have so much damage output and your kiting can be ridiculous. Sure she doesn't have the best range but her mobility and damage are insane if used properly.

I'm trying to work on a schedule as of now, should get updated soon, I got mostly
stuff since, like I said I main him, but there is some
occasionally too, anyways feel free to check it out if you want.
Quinn IMO is best suited to top right now. She has short range, so bad vs adcs, but good against melee. She's a fantastic dueler, something that is needed in toplane, and her e is amazing at stopping moves with a leaping animation. She can stop kha jump, jax jump, rivens 3rd q, panth stun, etc. She fairs very well against most toplaners right now, whereas she's just inferior to most other adcs in teamfighting and 2v2 situations.
Quinn is actually on the free rotation a LOT. Like every 3rd week or something I see her, mainly because she isn't played much I suppose. I really like Quinn, but I honestly think she needs a bit of love, not for botlane, but for top. She's a really good toplaner, and she just doesn't fit well in bot :
