Hypothetical Nasus Rework

I find that a lot of the problem with Nasus' current kit is how heavily it is focused around his Q. He walks up and presses Q on a minion, he gets stronger. He presses Q on you, you die. He can buff his Q by making sure you're in his E (so you die better), and he can make sure he gets more Qs off on you by tagging you with his W. But either way, his entire kit revolves around one skill. To me, this seems to be a problem. Champions are supposed to have four abilities and a passive, not one ability. Thus, I propose a hypothetical rework that changes Nasus from a Q-focused master of one-shot murder, to an auto-attack focused champion with goals other than press Q.

Soul Eater - Nasus gains # souls for every minion slain. Nasus gains % life steal for every ## souls he has eaten.

Siphoning Strike - Nasus' next basic attack within ## seconds gains ## range, % life steal, and deals ## bonus physical damage.

Wither - Nasus ages the target enemy champion, slowing their movement speed by %, increasing over # seconds, and their attack speed by half the amount for the duration.

Spirit Fire - Nasus unleashes a spirit flame at the target area, dealing ## magic damage every second and applying a stack of Spirit Shred. Each stack of Spirit Shred reduces armor by % and lasts for # seconds.

Fury of the Sands - Nasus empowers himself, costing ### mana to activate and draining ## mana per second. While empowered, Nasus gains % increased movement speed, increased size, and ## increased attack range. While empowered, Nasus' Wither and Spirit Fire abilities become AOE effects centered around Nasus.

Empowered Wither - Nasus ages all enemies near him, slowing their movement speed by % that increases the longer they are near him. Their attack speed is slowed by half of that.

Empowered Spirit Fire - Nasus unleashes a spirit flame in a swirling circle around him that lasts for # seconds. Enemies inside of the spirit flame are dealt ## magic damage every second and gain a stack of Spirit Shred. Each stack of Spirit Shred reduces armor by % and lasts for # seconds.

The idea behind this kit would be that he is auto-attack centered with high sustain, but he doesn't have the massive Q-You're-Dead ability. Instead, he would want to wither you to keep you inside of spirit fire for as long as possible for the increased black-cleaver-style armor shred and then auto+Q you to death with sheen procs. His ult would be less of a "push a button, gain some stats" and more of a swain-style toggle that turned him in to a teamfight beast.

I'm interested in what the positives and negatives of this kit rework my be. Any terrible things I'm overlooking?

I'm all for taking some power away from his Q and passive and giving it to W and E, but having his Q not scale like it does now makes him not Nasus.
