Just like title says, I had promo games in my Silver 3 league where after winning it I got directly promoted to Silver 1. It's not that i complain about but before I never heard this is even possible.

I skipped from Silver 4 to Silver 2 this season. Although I was shocked I didn't skip gold 4 when I won my promos in gold 5 while gaining 28LP per win and losing 12LP per loss... so I'm not entirely sure how it decides when to skip but it definitely can happen and is intentional.

its because of spreads. gold 4 has a higher mmr spread than silver 4. the spread in diamond 1 is bigger than all of bronze combined.
Warlord Scrap1 votesif your mmr was high enough you can skip a tier. Its roughly 25lp per win mmr. You cant jump a 5 or a 1 in any division though. so uou cant go from silver 1 to gold 4 or say silver 2 to gold 5.
bloodybadger11 votesyep its possible. for some reason i think its easier if its your first season. in my first season i couldnt skip anything in silver. get to gold and skip g3. lmao. now that ive been playing a few seasons i cant skip ever. never lucky.
climbed from s5 to p4 on my smurf and i havent skipped one division this season.
