Just when i forgot why i hated URF

No, not because of all the annoying URF fans who act entitled, not because it's not a fun and unique concept. Because of how the community is taking it so seriously. Literally the first game i played i was flamed for picking jhin, our midlaner left the game at 10 min because our shaco went double top instead of jungle, and my botlane partner flamed me and left to midlane because i didnt pick a "meta" pick. And here is the problem - meta. We have enough of that in normal SR, these game modes are supposed to be fun and special, not a try hard competetive mode where you need to spam OP picks. Seriously, i gurantee almost every game will have an ez, lux, nidalee, hecarim, and you know the rest.

So please, URF was fun when peopled explored and did silly things, dont ruin the URF spirit and have casual, none serious fun. It's only here for a weekend.

Not enough bans to enjoy URF. 5 bans each seems legit because after those 6 bans and you get in the game you see some shet that makes you go "why tf didn't i ban that".[zombie-brand-facepalm]

No, that's not it, people love throwing the problems of a mode on the community but that's just not the case.

This is a standard prisoners dilemma, with the standard result: everyone suffers.

Because here's the thing, you blame your teammates, but they aren't the issue, they are a reflection of the mode.

You got into a game, you pick jhin, your teammates also pick subpar picks and nobody flames anyone, then you get into a game and the enemy team is filled with op shit, sona, katarina, zed, fizz, pick your poison, you get shitstomped, they aren't better, they aren't playing better, their champs are just bs and you aren't having any fun, flamed by teammates or not, so you go into your next game and this time you're the one picking op shit because you don't want the previous game to repeat itself, and then any opponents who didn't pick BS champs get frustrated, and learn their lesson for their next game.

The cycle continues until eventually everyone is just abusing broken picks to avoid being abused themselves, that's the natural outcome of such a situation and the fault is with the mode itself, NOT the players, the only reason urf was fun first time it came was because people were trying to figure out the op picks, that's it.

So no, it's not to community, it is in fact the mode which is shit.

Ill add this point of thought. When i saw today we get URF day, I right away checked which new champions are now avaiable in urf, and picked jhin. This should be the mindset, what new fun stuff can i try. But literally the pregame lobby was filled with meta talk, how adc sucks, and im a "retarded noob" for picking jhin. The game wasnt even out for an hour, common.

Thankyou I was flamed for picking Tristana in URF because "Why would you pick such a stupid champion" I got most kills, least deaths, and like 5 assists but we lost because Ekko (who flamed me) went 1/17/0

This is exactly why I won't be playing it. It's not allowed to be fun. I want to pick some silly melee champions and have fun, but good luck playing most melee against Lux and Ezreal every game. They should have given everyone a ban for URF just so there would be a chance of seeing some other things.

This is why I am happy URF is only here for 3 days. There are about 5 god-tier champs, about 15 "good" urf champs, and every other champ in the game is utter shit. It's all about people being given enough time to find the meta and ultimately destroy the mode.

I had a Sej go like 1/9 or something. I was like "I don't know why you thought Sej would be good, but props for tryin something new." I also had an Evelynn that same game... nothing our entire team did ever mattered because she just went so damn tryhard and aced the enemy team every 5 minutes. I sorta just chilled and got dragons and barons and stuff.

Like wtf, that wasn't even fun. Thanks for ruining it, Evelynn :[

I have a problem understanding the mentality of the people who always choose fotm OP champs (this goes for normals as well). I have concluded that I just feel sorry for them when they can't succeed without playing something broken.

Right? I have legit not seen a single Yorik the ENTIRE time I've played this game. Not a single one. But oh, Yorick OP in URF, better play him.
