I have been wondering ever since I started playing this game why Challanger is the highest rank you can achieve, and not Masters. In my logic, the Master Tier should be the 200 top in each region and the Challangers should be "challenging" the Master Tier Players? Or have I missed something?
ModWulf Helhammer18 votesIt’s a remnant of the old “Challenger series”, which was a tournament for teams to become part of the pro leagues.
The idea is that you would “master the game”, and then go on to “challenge” the pros.
Tr4shB4NSYST3M1 votesNot only that but i think its similar to boxing, when someone fights vs the champ they are the "challenger," The idea is that they are challengers to the current Pro player's spots on their pro teams.
