I don't want to play Support.

I don't want to play Support. Let me clarify... I don't want to play Support EVERY game.

So as almost everyone knows, picking fill or support as secondary role pretty much guarantees you will end up as support. I love playing support (I find it quite fun), I just don't like playing support every game. If I decide to choose ADC as my main role and support as my secondary then it becomes very hard to actually get the role I want. Yes, I know I wouldn't get the role I wanted every time, but at least I would have a better chance of getting my main position if this was resolved.

I'm not the first to say this, but the role of support needs to be more desirable for someone to play. The demand for supports is higher than the demand for any other role, which is where the main problem lies.

I would love to hear other thoughts and ideas on this topic.

Put your primary role first, then mid second. Almost always you will get the primary, since mid is the most desired role. Unless you want mid, in which case, I got nothing.

If you want mid, put top as the secondary and you will have about 40% chance of actually going mid.

Support is going to have to be reworked or removed. It has singlehandedly destroyed blind pick games and pretty much guarantees an extra report or two every time. Support is just not fun for the masses. No one wants to basically make other people look good for little gain of their own.

Not remove, but definitely an update or something for the role. Like your saying, most people just don't find it fun or rewarding enough to play.

Its not true that all the time you will get support if u put fill or support as secondary role. I once got mid when I put support on primary and mid on secondary.

How much support is ok? They changed things like a month ago to try to get people into their primary role more, particularly for secondary support/fill. I think people have reported about 50/50 with secondary support recently. That's what I feel like I get with jungle/fill, which seems good to me, though I haven't played enough to get a good sample size. I feel like ADC may also be a role that is less contested, so that might help.

I've played some games to test this out and it doesn't seem very 50/50 to me. It does seem to be a higher chance than before to get the main role, but definitely not 50/50 (my experience at least).

OK, thanks for trying it out. Maybe you'll just have to do as Imperial Red suggested for now, and just queue for something else secondary when you don't want to support. Though that would unfortunately make you have to play three different roles. I do hope that they can find some way to make playing support feel more fulfilling. I too find it quite fun, but I realize that many people don't enjoy the game unless they are the ones dealing damage.

Yea, might just have to. I just think it sucks when you get support a lot when its your secondary role. I really like support, its fun. I just don't like playing it constantly, you know?

If you don't want to play support every time, then don't put it as one of your role choices when you want a break. It's that simple. There's no fair way to make support a more desirable role that will get people to decide to be support mains. You're either okay with being the unsung hero, or you're not.
