I don't see why Irelia is undeserving of nerfs.

CC reduction via passive and tenacity to reduce tanks CC 75%, check. True damage to help shred through tanks, Check 2 second stun to allow little counterplay when bursting a carry, Check. 650 range (kassadin kappa) Gap closer to get to said carry to burst them down, Check. Ultimate that gives her stupid sustain on top of her lifesteal and W, Check.

Talk about Lee Sin having an overloaded kit...

Oh, is it time to pull out our pitchforks and torches and yell at riot to nerf irelia again, cool. Been awhile since we did that.

Her ult does not give her stupid sustain, it's main function is to proc Tri Force. Many champs have a gap closer, I don't see why her's is undeserving. Without it, Irelia could not be a threat. She has true damage on a limited number of auto attacks so she can be a good bruiser, and her stun was recently nerfed, and is two seconds because it can only be used as a stun if she has lower health. Otherwise it's just a slow. Irelia is fine, the meta shifts and some champs get better. She'll get her play and then die down again, but she definitely does not need any significant nerfs.

Except, you can't get to that carry with your gap closer and use the 2-second stun. If they're lower health than you, it's just a slow. So, it requires you to strategically take an unfavorable trade.

The true damage is good in mid-game but falls off later on. And she usually doesn't build pen items.

And, I'm pretty sure her passive doesn't stack that way. If I remember right, you'll get the 40%, and then 35% of the remaining cc.

So, suppose Twisted Fate hits her with a max level stun card. That's 2 seconds (incidentally, the same duration as her own stun! :D ).

If TF has two team mates with him, his stun will still last 1.2 seconds on her. If she has Mercs, that will reduce 35% of the 1.2 seconds. That leaves a .6 second stun.

So, still strong. Sure. But, that's kinda her thing.
