Could you PLEASE stop this stupid anime fan japanese? You most likely dont even know what it means and know no other words beside maybe "baka"...

No, its just annoying. Every Mainstream anime watcher suddendly thinks hes such an Otaku, while most likely not knowing Animes beside Dragonball and NAruto and acts like they would know something about japanese culture.

No need to go after someone for using the honorifics, though... It's the people that spam baka, desu, and senpai that are usually bad news.

Impressive. Do you have a Japanese keyboard or are you Japanese?

Gorantharon1 votes

You can just google and copy paste, or if using Windows 7 or so, just activate Japanese. You still type out the western readings anyway. Not sure about W8, but I'd be surprised if that was removed.

I use kana typing method. I am from Hong Kong and learning Japanese. 日本語は難しいじゃないですが、英語はもっと簡単です。

I am from Hong Kong. Chinese is my first language, and is 100% kanji. :P That's why kanji is a cake for me. ^^

For your answer: 日本語 = Japanese は = is (grammatical particle, so it's "wa" instead of "ha") 難しい = difficult じゃない = not です = comfirmation が = but/however 英語 = English は もっと = more 簡単 = easy です

Every thing with "語(go)" is probably a language. China語(中国語), Korea語(韓国語/朝鮮語), Canton語(広東語), you get the idea.

Then let's stop the use of matmazel, gentleman, sir, miss, ma'am, professor and much much more.

I know nothing about the British and the title of the Knight, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to greet you with: "hello kind sir". Does that automaticaly turn me into a phantasy loving geek? Also matmazel is French, you're not French. Boo you and your French-culture loving delinquets who've only known French culture from Christian Dior fregrances.

... Matmazel?

Mademoiselle. I understand French isn't the easiest language to spell out, but that was pretty painful to see as someone in the process of learning French and learning about their culture.

And this, ladies and gents, is exactly why "RITO-SAN" is offensive to some.

Gorantharon4 votes

It's actually not used wrongly here, though.

Gavran1 votes

I saw others disagree. But that's not what I'm saying anyway. I don't mean this specific post, I mean everyone who watches some anime and then peppers random sounds they've heard into their diction. For some, that's going to be offensive.

Doesn't really bother me honestly, just thought it was a nice example.

Rather, it doesn't bother me for those reasons - it can be annoying as any sort of catch-phrasey way too oft repeated thing can.

Jesus calm down it was just a honest mistake, no need to get your jimmies rustled when I wasn't even trying to be offensive.

If you want to make a point about the usage of words, you should maybe KNOW the words.

jesus fuck you butcher the english language and the french language all in one go.

Well played.

So you're mad because people know and use Japanese words and them knowing and using said words automatically means they assume they know Japanese culture? Because me saying uno, dos, and tres means I think I know everything about Spanish culture right. Or saying nien means I know everything about German culture.

The stupid is strong with this one.

xXAbelXx1 votes

some facts for your ignorance. 1. the word otaku is a bad thing, it is named after a Japanese serial killer. 2. you're mixing up the japanese cultural obsession with the term weeaboo. 3. not all anime is from japan you ignorant prick

Ya, at least type it in Japanese. Either Rito さん or リトさん.

If you can't see the characters, that's probably because of your OS not supporting Japanese fonts.

Or if someone says "itadakimasu" when they just some white girl, smh

  1. Everyone who is REALLY into anime could care less about DBZ
  2. Just because someone says "san" doesn't automatically make them some weaboo warrior who pretends to know about Japanese culture. I'm pretty sure it's an on going joke, where the hell have you been?
SelflessTeammate1 votes

Anime is the plural of anime. Dragon Ball is two words. And I don't even watch anime, dude, at least not since 10 or so years ago. If you're gonna correct someone over something totally meaningless, at least make sure those corrections are, well, correct, man.

I'm pretty sure san means 3, but I guess that depends on how you use it.

JustMyBassCannon2 votes

"San" means 3, while "-san" is an honorific title on the level of Mr./Ms./Mrs.

I watch anime all the time and i dont even know what baka mean :s can someone please tell me

JustMyBassCannon1 votes

It means "idiot" or "fool"

K. Not like we riven mains don't shoot it in point blank range with our 100-0 combo anyways, right? :p

Pæan4 votes

was going to say, it's not very often that you REALLY need that full range. By the time you have full combo they are either dead or have flashed... and still die.

The only time I even use the second part of my ult is to ks when I arrive late to fights xD

Pæan2 votes

Lol! I didn't wanna say it, but yeah I've done the same exact thing.

ShaftyMegee4 votes

Rivens bankaI needed some touch ups imo

Slamurai Jack4 votes

So they cut the speed that the ult travels by less than a third. So what? It still has the same range, the same damage, and it's still going to kill you.
