The LP system and all its bs...

I had been on a steady winning streak like 8-2 won my promos and all. I've been getting like 13-17 lp per win. I lose this last game and i lost 26! LIKE WHAT? HOW DO I LOSE SO MUCH BUT GAIN SO LITTLE.

You're in a higher division than your MMR is. The system is made so people can't get carried to higher divisions and just get lucky enough to stay in it. If you're in Gold V (1500~) with Silver III (1250~) MMR, you will gain less and lose more until your MMR goes to Gold level, or you get kicked back down to Silver.

EDIT: Also, if you duo too much that happens as well.

Thank you for your reply! How long does it take (games) until your mmr catches up?

Depends on who you face. If you've got a silver mmr and still win versus people in gold 5, it'll climb back up faster than if you face people in silver and win. On average, maybe like 3 wins in a row will put you back at +20 or something..

It really depends on how many games you play against better or worse opponents. I believe it calculates each night at midnight or at 2 am or around there. Also you'll lose more LP if you lose games against opponents that are lower ranked than you but the reverse is true as well. When you start earning and losing around the same or close to it based upon rankings you'll know you're currently where you're supposed to be.

It depends on how you play, really. But you gotta stay consistent.
