I now understand why all of you players hate DQ.

I was playing solo as I am a solo only player, and I was matched with a 4 man premade. That's not all. I was pitted against another 4 man premade. I've never felt more out of sync with the game than when I was playing that game. I was Irelia top. Not once in the first 25 minutes of the game did I have a teammate come help me top lane as I was constantly dove under turret by the top, Jungler, and support as they were apart of the 4 man premade.

Now, my teammates were always willing to help one another whether that be mid or bot, but not one time did any of them come top to help me, their teammate. I am not a toxic player by no means (never had chat ban or anything). I asked nicely if they could assist me, but no response.

I felt insanely isolated as a player.

"But OP you won that match???"

Yes I did win but the experience I had playing that game was not fun at all.

tldr; DQ sucks.

Edit: DQ sucks. Being the solo player on a 4 man premade sucks.*

Yea, dairy queen is horrible.

LadyRenly6/6/2016, 10:58:38 PM14 votes

that is the mentality DQ encourages, even in rank. It's "us" and "him". You don't talk to that guy, you don't know him. Let him fend for himself and hope he doesn't feed or something. People want to gank their friends, or get brownie points for helping out their girlfriend or something. Even in duo queue this was the case, which is why they were usually "duo bot with x"

I'm looking at the stats of your game and I'm seeing unjustified complaints. Wu was all over the place (died to Galio in Mid Lane [8:30], killed Alistar in Bot Lane [11:30] and later got a triple kill in Bot Lane [14:30]). He was not camping your lane. Zyra died three times in lane before the 12 minute mark to Ashe. She was not camping your lane. You didn't lose tower until after all three of the enemy team outer towers had been taken.

All I'm seeing is Wu ganking your lane first which resulted in First Blood [5:30] and then maybe getting tower dove once before the 14 minute mark which gave Malphite his only kill on you.

Seriously I was going to remark about how Wu made a mistake camping your lane for a Malphite before looking closer at the game.

Is your name dyrus?

This is exactly the experience we all hate and argue against. At this point, I refuse to play the game if I'm in a 4-man queue, because I don't want to subject two perfectly nice solo players to that in the game.

Wînter Fox6/6/2016, 6:36:48 PM10 votes

I feel your pain OP. But to be fair I feel like this in every game I play top lane solo. I play late game top laners because I expect for the first half hour I'll be bent over and buttwrecked over and over 2v1

He isn't wrong. As a solo queue player, you can feel insanely isolated, you meet these players who get mad if you slip up, next game they are gone. You play that next game, everyone can be yelling at you there, aswell. It's a real struggle bud, just get used to it. No one is gonna hold your hand here

Serious question: How is this a different experience than SoloQue?

originary916/7/2016, 10:51:01 AM4 votes

It's great, really. The number one complaint about the previous queue system was premades..what does Riot do? They introduce an even large premade system! Genius.

Zelnick6/6/2016, 7:36:46 PM4 votes

Like I've played in both old solo queue and new dynamic queue, went both solo and sometimes duoed+ in both queues and I've literally noticed no difference in my average wins and losses or a team's average ability to perform, I still made it to p2 all the same. All of these problems are all in you're head because you want to blame some system for your losses rather than blaming yourself and look at what you did wrong. If you're out of sync it's because you're not a solid enough player to communicate and know when/what objectives to take.

welcome brother...

we all know the trouble of being bot lane when there is a 3 people on a team jungle mid top... no matter how long the enemy pushes up ganks will never come..

when you feel like Dyrus at worlds when you play top lane.. you know DQ is in full effect

when a person is feeding and you get frustrated to ask him not to in chat then your team flames you... you are in a DQ.

when no one is pinging or even making calls at all.. DQ is in full effect.

When you would prefer just to get 4 solo players and go against the team of 4.. you are in DQ..

welcome... we know your pain.

I'd love to see a limit of tri-queue so that we could get rid of the feeling of being solo with a 4-man premade. I only play solo ranked (when I play) and I've felt this pain many times myself.

This or Riot needs to implement an in-game voice chat client. Something to foster better teamwork in these cases.

That said, if your team took objectives while the enemy team constantly sent 3 after you, then I'd say that's a win. That's rare these days.

Thats why they should LIMITES PREMADE TO 3 MAX IN ALL LEAGUES, NOT JUST DIAMOND+.

THIS WOULD BE BETTER: - Players 1, 3 and 5 are premade / Players 2 and 4 are solos OR Players 1, 3 and 5 are premade / Players 2 and 4 are premade. NO MORE 4v1 SITUATIONS

Hey everyone, I advise you check this guy's latest posts. He only typed this up to prove the boards are terrible, or something.

Pretty sure Top lane is an island.... even if you're 5v5

This is an old thread, same one was posted by somebody else a month ago. Nice copypaste.

I had a 4man premade in my jg nunu game a few days ago and I felt like I was not playing with 4 other people. I'd use pings and get seemingly ignored. They just did their own thing. Those games are really not that fun.

LaughingStapler6/7/2016, 2:07:05 AM2 votes

I don't even care about as much as that the ranked system integrity is all screwed up as a result of it. Every queue configuration on the same ladder into a unified ranking... #logic.

kaltenashes6/7/2016, 7:47:47 AM2 votes

playing with and against premades as a solo player sucks, therefore dyna q, the system that makes it possible, sucks

The Sword Saint6/7/2016, 3:39:34 PM2 votes

It's definitely an issue that a lot of people seem to gloss over. In a coordinated team, it's perfectly reasonable and common for there to be a decision to leave a lane alone to focus more effort on a different lane for any number of reasons. Maybe one lane doesn't have gank potential but another does, maybe your jungler plans to go for a lot of dragons and wants to stick around the bottom side of the map, maybe some lanes are strong enough early to be left alone while other lanes scale harder but have weaker lanes and need to be babysat, maybe its the same situation but the team decides to snowball the strong early champ and let the hard scalers play passive...

If a team of strangers comes together and decides on a strategy, those are all valid things that could be the case and so you don't mind as much if sometimes you are the one left to fend for yourself for the sake of the team strategy since you can see the logic in it and sometimes you are the one who is getting the extra attention so it balances out.

In you are a solo matched with a premade though, you can expect that the default plan is going to be for the premade to work together and leave you alone to do whatever. There's more than enough strategic reasons to pick a lane to leave alone for them to feel justified in doing so, but the the fact that you know you'll always be playing solo and so always be the one left to deal with multiman ganks while your team trades for objectives somewhere else is kind of an obnoxious pain in the ass that causes resentment after a while.

Being the chosen sacrificial pawn by default is not amusing.

swiftsnipe6/7/2016, 3:20:33 AM1 votes

This literally only occurs 1/30 games.

97% of the time 4 man premades are matched with 4 man premades.
