Seeking help from Experienced League players ~desperate~
Im going to make a long thought out post... So if you have time to read it thanks! If you don't thanks for just stopping in!
I've been playing league for less than a year now and seem to struggle in ranked gameplay constantly. My MMR is suffering due to it, as well as my chances to rank up.
A little bit about myself as a gamer....
Im 26 years old, I live in california and have been gaming since I was 11 years old. I started on Diablo 1, and moved to Diablo 2 and then too runescape shortly after. Im an extremely competitive gamer (which i guess explains how quickly i get pissed off during league matches when things go wrong) who is used to being at the top tier of competitive ranks. I used to maintain within rank 100 diablo 2 ladders often even at my young age. Moving to runescape I was under rank 200 in 2010 with over 1,900,000,000 xp. During my years of runescape i began an addiction to counterstrike in which I attained the rank of LEM, and even SMFC for a few days before shortly losing it. All of that mixed in with some other mmorpg's during my off runescape time in which i excelled to doing endgame raids with some of the highest rated guilds/kins. So all that being said, im used to being a top tier gamer and do my best to go above and beyond the average 'rank' of players.
So on to league aye? I reached level 30 a little while back and have been grinding hard at ranked matches. I've gone through different phases with my champions as the first thing I did when i neared level 30 was decided to choose a main. I always read that picking one champion at a time was the best way to gain ranks in competitive play.
Beginning of League Ranked History~~~
My first provisional matches ever landed me into bronze 2. I quickly noticed a trend of outplaying my opponents on middle lane or top lane (the two roles i preferred to play at the time). I found myself in bronze 1 not before long sitting somewhere at 70 some odd LP. A quick change in what i called 'luck' put me in a downward spiral ending all the way at bronze 4. Of course the spiral down was littered with matches where i would perform incredibly against my laner, or the whole enemy team. At this point in time, I often time was finishing games well over positive KDR, but not great at things like csing, or keeping wards up at all times. Once i hit bronze 4 I was quite flustered with what had happened over the few weeks of rank dropping. I started to watch youtube videos and try to learn more about what I was missing out on in the bigger picture. All of that made me realize that not only did I need to find a better snowballing champion for my lanes, but that I had to do A B and C throughout the matches without forgetting to do those things. Some intentional feeding due to EXTREME TILTING, and real life drama lead to a suspension. At that point I was in bronze 5, almost 0 LP. To cut this part of the story short, I fixed my behavior and became a Kassadin Main middle. I carried several games all the way up to silver 5, where I currently am now.
Current Day Ranked History~~~
Sitting at silver 5 I know that I'm really no better than a bronze 5 (I keep getting told that so it's easier to believe that than argue). I'm currently struggling more than ever to rank up. I'm losing more games now than I was when I was bronze 1-5. I know that a lot of people are saying it might be due to the fact I am more suited for bronze 1-2 still. However before reading that and agreeing with it, you should know that my current matches in silver 5 are against bronze 1-3's. However I noticed the game is almost always pairing me up against a Silver 5-4 in my own lane. Now as far as my laning phase against my silver opponents, I am keeping track of my lane win success or my KDR during laning phase. Not an exact number, but over 60% of my games I am winning my lane with general ease, sometimes struggling to win though. KDR i am generally already ahead and getting fed most, but not all games during my laning. However I am noticing a theme where as the game progresses I might not be in the right places at the right time to keep my lead going. I find that my teamates will often times die to my opponents quite a lot after laning, possibly due to my lack of presence near them at times. I've continued to watch numerous videos to fix what im continuing to notice myself do wrong. (before you say work on more cs, and things like that)
All of that being said, I really need a coach, someone who can spectate my games and possibly take notes during to just remind me of micro and macro problems with my gameplay. You might find this funny, but being a challenger/master is a long term goal of mine, and I 'have' to see it accomplished. I simply don't know how to be a casual player and not attempt to put myself on a leader board. I know I am behind everyone because this is my first season, however I am also told that what I have accomplished thus far against people who have been around for many if not all seasons and are also in my skill level, is an amazing start to a good league future. Bare in mind that this is also my first MOBA game also. Being behind has never stopped me before and i don't intend to let it stop me this time. So if anyone at all is willing to lend a hand out sometime I would be deeply indebted.
I hope to not offend with this picky requirement. I would prefer coaching from someone over the age of 21, whom considers themselves a relaxed person. I really do not want someone being rude, or overly obnoxious with me. (i enjoy a good laugh though, don't get me wrong. I just am over being a teenager if you get what I mean)
Thank you everyone who took the time to either read or skim through this. I appreciate everyone's time.
