Because, if you keep playing games and wanting to surrender at 5, you're obviously doing something wrong, I don't see any reason to ff unless everyone and I mean EVERYONE on the team is 0/7, just because you died once doesn't mean you have to be selfish enough to ruin it for everyone else. We went from 20 minute surrenders, to remakes, to 15 minute anonymous surrenders because everyone complains about it, if you don't like it, then stop playing the game. No I don't mean quit the current game and move onto the next, I mean quit League all together, if you want to ff, you aren't using any strategy, you just don't care, hence why you should either take a break or just stop playing. I don't surrender because how else are you going to learn to play from behind? Instead of giving up, take huge risks like trying to steal baron instead of running it through mid.
I want surrenders right after everyone locks his champ in champ select because 9/10 times you can already fill in who will win.

they need to fix the snowball, not change surrendering games that need to be surrendered at 10 or 15 min are not fun, that is the problem, not that we cant leave a game like this

My team is feeding and the game is feeling miserable and there is no hope. 2 out of 3 people decline the surrender vote. They continue to do so multiple times even though the enemies lead keeps getting larger.
My team is winning. I am carrying and having a lot of fun and don't want it to end. Enemy team surrenders at 15.

Sometimes I clearly know the game is lost, but someone that is already 0-7 is keeping me hostage there because he/she is too dumb to notice the game is completely lost. And I can't simply go somewhere else because of leaverbuster.
We need an early surrender option or teaching people to surrend when the game is clearly lost so they stop wasting everyone's time.

You should be able to surrender at any time if all five agree on it.
Early surrender should be 4/1 and after 20 3/2. Either that or bring back solo carrying like older seasons. It's dumb af one bottom feeding autist drooling on their keyboard instead of using hands can lose a game but one good player has a hard time carrying
How about a good old-fashioned mercy rule? Say, a surrender vote pops up in the first 20 minutes if a team gets down by at least 10 kills and stays that way for at least a minute. Similarly, if one or two players go afk for more than five minutes in the first twenty -- and preferably exclude their premade teammates from voting.
10 min vote should be unanimous. 15 min vote should be 4 of 5. 20 min vote should be 3 of 2.
I'd be in favor of a mercy rule... if you trail by 10 kills within the first 10 minutes, the game automatically ends.
Game might as well just auto-surrender in the lobby based on which team got boned by matchmaking. That wouldn't be a massively different way to award lp

I don't want to sound pretentious, but I'm only a newly promoted B1 and there usually is actually a chance of coming back in my experience, which stretches back to Aatrox's release and between all the permanent modes. I understand where you're coming from, I've been in my fair share of 2/10 (and worse) by the 10-minute mark matches and when that happens, it usually does feel like it's a lost cause, but more often than not when my team would stick it out (without tilting hard or raging like a monkey on steroids), and calmly, rationally try to win; we usually got a lot farther/closer to winning than we'd thought we would at that 10-minute mark.
As far as not wanting to waste your time well... It's a videogame, that's more or less what they're for, so I really don't see how not being able to surrender changes that.
A mercy rule would be good, if either team was down x kills or y gold, the early surrrender option would appear. I just think people give up to easily when its still very possible to win.

I don't think 10 min surrender is necessary. If you actually get stomped that hard most of the time some champ select op.gg scouting could offer you an idea if the game would go well or not. Or just comparing team comps/mindset of your team in champ select. Better to lose 3 or 10 lp dodging than losing 15+ in a 10 minute stomp.
