So, I've realized there are quite a few champions who are stomping games right now, and who are at this point essentially- pick or ban. So i was wondering who you guys think should be banned every game.
These are my few as of yesterday:
I would say zed, but compared to all of these champs, he might as well be urgot (lol jk but not really)
Let me know if there's any others I should be taking into account here!
i dont play the champions that i think are worth banning. i ban champs that i think are extremely easy to play while still having a high impact, rather than champs that i just percieve as overpowered.
Ex: Katarina. She's extremely easy to play and perform well on, so I ban her. I don't pick her if she's available, I just try to make sure I don't lose to someone rolling their face on the keyboard because my team isn't communicating well.
Akali, Yasuo, and Rek'sai are still my go to bans as teams don't know how to counter them at my elo.
If you're going by the champions with a >30% banrate, then the following
Azir (60% banrate) Ahri (57% banrate) Nidalee (47% banrate) Jarvan IV (46% banrate) Zed (41% banrate) Kassadin (40% banrate) Irelia (39% banrate) Rek'sai (34% banrate)
Sivir and Vi have 0.28% and 16% banrates respectively.
Last time I banned Blitz, Xin Zhao and Lee Sin.
Because I didn't want my teammates to snowball the enemy team early.
I mostly play AP Kog'Maw mid.

I never pick him, only ban him:
I hate his "be a Tank or die" - Hook
You can dodge some, but never all of them.
Of course if I plan to be a Tank, then I don't ban him.
in 5.2, ahri, nid, kalista, j4, vi, in that order. I'll have to reevaluate ahri on the new patch, but none of the others are changed. Maybe shaco can take a spot there. I go by a combination of win and pick rate. If a champ is below 50%, it's not worth banning them, I figure, especially if I'm taking the role that they're normally picked in, say zed.

tbh i dont see much value in banning reksai. shes never picked in my games when left open
Well, Ahri just got nerfed, so...
my ban list usually consists of: vi riven jarvan blitzcrank(just because that one pull that he manages to land on you means your dead or your burning flash)
