How do you stop an Irelia?

Seriously how? Last two games yes I suck I'm bronze blah blah but even if our top lane shuts her down horribly and all the lanes "win" as you would put it(Towers down, have 3 or 4 kills on their lane with few deaths) she can easily just waltz into any lane and kill whoever is in it while having only a spirit visage.I mean she seems like the original I can do anything champion.I assume she isnt devastating for people in high elo and that will be an argument if anyone replys but for us in bronze,silver and gold how do you stop this monster without ganking her constantly.

Ignite.

Irelia's best feature isn't her CC or damage, it's her sustain and CC resistance.

If you shut down her sustain and are going at least even with her, then the rest is just trading properly or freezing the lane.

I'm not sure what you expect for an answer.......... what you can do is dependent on your team composition, your champion you are using and how you use that champion/team comp.

item 3110 item 3075 . Armor to counter botrk if she builds it, and health to counter her W. If you're AP, item 3165 isn't terrible to have, maybe.

you play malphite, absolutely destroy her attack speed and spam laugh emote.

here's the thing with irelia. after her trinity force is done, she hits hard but she's squishy, so focus her. later on in the game her damage drops off and she's a pretty average team fighter with a single target stun to engage which normally forces her to use her dash (so she can't disengage) so if he team doesn't immediately follow up she'll get destroyed.

also, darius destroys her in lane. literally just don't play a squishy champion and you'll have no problem, she's purposely built to assassinate carries.

You cry. Malphite doesn't stop her from wrecking your backline in teamfights.

Irelia has all the problems of the "Fighter Problem." She doesn't have a real role in an organized team fight. She doesn't have the cc of a tank, nor the burst of an assassin, nor the dps of a carry. The best she can really do is dive the enemies backline. This most likely results in being peeled and killed by an organized team.

She's also kiteable. A long stun and a gapcloser, but if you survive her burst an adc can kite her without too many problems.
