People who beg for lvl 100 Doombots... but couldn't come close to beating lvl 1.....
Y'all are damn annoying.
Y'all are damn annoying.
sad but true, these people exist
They don't even pick stuff that can handle it either. Like seriously, if you want 100, pick some waveclear and range.
It's a game mode for fucking fun.
WHO CARES?
"hehe im so funny look at me voting for level 100, i am le ultimate troll, everybody gonna lose cos MEEEE MWAHAHAHA nobody will see how bad i am cos my whole team gonna go down and nobody can blame me cos imma pick brand and get the most damage and nobody can single me out"
kinda off the track, but what's up with voting?
it says /lvl xx or /votelvl xx
So I obediently write in chat: /lvl 1 <- doesn't work /lvl1 <- ... nope /lvl 01 <- still nope /votelvl 01 <- not even close /votelevel 1 <- again, invalid command
I seriously tried at least 15 times all different commands and NONE worked and after a while system set us level 12 to beat. it was fun nonetheless, but.. dahell? What's up with those commands?
To the idiots who downvoted me: I really hope your kids will turn out retarded just as much as you are if you downvote a question.
I mean, maybe they just want the experience of it, and the game mode is temporary and they're worried it will end without them being able to try the hardest possible challenge, just to see what it's like?
I feel your pain. Intensely.
I think we can safely say the voting system is a complete and total failure, especially at 4 required where it almost never gets 4 people voting the same level and thus ALWAYS randoms. The entire point of the voting system is self-defeating as currently implemented.
At the very least, people should be limited to voting for difficulties 10 above what they've beaten (thus, 10 initially, or e.g. if they've beaten 80 they can vote for 1-90; not having beaten Gauntlet at all would count as 0.)
It's really quite ridiculous how stubborn people are about voting levels they know they have no hope of beating. As far as I'm concerned, it should be a reportable offense since it's practically equivalent in effect and intent to intentional feeding. Doing it should result in a suspension from Gauntlet. It seems the only way to actually get a viable team is a 3+ man premade.
Speaking of which, anyone on NA who's interested in such premades, feel free to friend me. I'm interested in being able to beat this.
Upvote this if you share my sentiments.
Those people are the real MVPs of the community. They know that shit is just a fucking game, so the main point of playing level 100 is simply "having fun", which is pretty much the purpose of FGMs: to have fun.
Also for those that don't know, the "bullet hell or get one shotted" is fairly common in a lot of MMOs or even just single player games, and doom bots in comparison is merely one of the midgame levels.
Downvote me all you want, but I'm only there to answer OP's question about why some people do this.
In order to beat level 100, you need premades, very specific team comp and proper strategy that you're all going to carefully follow through entire game. If you join solo Q, pick whatever and just afk hold line without talking to your teammates - don't even try 100. Go for ~50, maybe 60-70 if you picked good wave clearers and like challenge. Forget about 100, unless you like losing.
They should have made a Doom Bots MMR and automatically placed you with people around the same level.
You start at level 1, skip 10 for every win in a row during your first 5 matches. Back 6 for every loss.
If you Don't want to play lvl 100, go play the easy difficulty.
How do doombot levels work? I played a game and didn't notice anything about levels.
I know. I vote for something reasonable like 30-40, but everyone else goes straight to 100 and we lose in 5 minutes.
