I don't understand Ryze...
If Ryze is so hated by both the community and Riot and his only viability is at the tippy top, maybe 1% of players. Why does riot even try to do anything other than another full scale rework (or give the Azir treatment)? Like his kit does way too much damage and is too URF-like for no reason. It is the same reason that Shojin is being taken out of the game. Half of his damage is dependent on mana which makes no sense, because it just opens him up to have way more defense items do damage. I would never consider Ryze a brusier until you seem him built like one and he still does crazy amounts of damage. Along with this, past about 15 he has some of the free-est waveclear in the entire game, I mean the jumping thing was removed from LeBlanc for the exact same reason, on top of that, just like minions his insane damage becomes AoE. 3 second E, that has Q reset on it and spreads to other champs? So basically in a teamfight if someone is standing next to you and ryze hits you he is effectively doubling damage, etc. etc. up to 5 champs? Honestly, his kit seems to have very few drawbacks, he has INSANE waveclear, GREAT damage, Good sustain (Taste of Blood, Ravenous, Seraphs, and other tank items like Righteous and Abyssal)(and his 4900 end game mana), Great Team-fight, Great poke, Great solo, Great objective damage. The only place he really lacks is split-push but I really don't think he is designed for that.
Anyways, I have literally never heard anyone say anything positive about Ryze as a champ. It is just him needing a rework, and or how he is busted/too good, or that he is only good at the top tier, etc. etc.
I would just like to know if Riot actually has an idea for Ryze in mind or that they are just going to leave him and keep making more champions instead of focusing on how they could make the other champions more balanced and less toxic to the community.
