Riot, do you have an answer for soloq players yet?
In the round table video, Lobster said the following about the current Dynamic Queue Ranked System: "We want soloq players to have an equal chance of winning all their games, and we haven't been there yet with Dynamic Ranked." "We kind of shit on 'Hey, I'm a soloq player and that's how I express'". Those are direct quotes and not taken out of context. He then went on to say that they don't have an answer as of yet to remedying this problem. I don't even know why I'm posting this. There is no way a Red will even respond and this is part of the issue. Passionate players are ignored and disregarded even when they post constructively. Any Red looking through the boards probably saw the title and let out a big NOPE!
Here is what has happened to soloq players so far: They had their primary ranked system taken away and changed, they were continually told that their old system would come back, there was a long period of radio silence until finally they were told the system would not come back, their queries during this time were completely ignored (both constructive and nonconstructive) leaving them to theorize and speculate, they are used as guinea pigs to fill the needs of premades, they have an unfair disadvantage as Lobster pointed out, they don't have as much power anymore in terms of leading a game and even forfeiting, and they are assessed in the exact same way in the exact same ranking system as premades. I'm sure there are many more that I have left out.
The way solo players have been treated has been awful when you look at everything Riot has done this season. In the realm of premade players and soloq players, the solo players have gotten the short end of the stick with this new system. Premade players have gotten what they wanted. Maybe not everything, but ultimately they are able to play with friends in ranked. What have solo players gotten out of this new system that they wanted besides maybe new champ select which is something completely different?
If my fellow soloq brethren will let me speak on behalf of them let me say this: We may have acted poorly in some circumstances in which we chose to be spiteful and spoke of Riot as a terrible entity. This wasn't necessarily the right move and we're sorry, but it was something we did because we feel very passionate about the game and we felt powerless. While downvotes may be viewed as a negative (seriously sorry about all those "Tyler1 has now been officially banned" downvotes), they are a way in which we can express how we feel about something.
Because of what has happened, soloq players are now very skeptical and hesitant. Let's remedy this by being open Riot. You keep saying this over and over and over and over and over...............and over again, but you fail to do so. People will always take your information the wrong way and there will be people who will possibly downvote the hell out of you. In addition, some people will post negative, hateful comments. That is life. Welcome to the internet. Ignore the haters and focus on the part of the community that actually gives a damn.
I want the soloq experience to be better and I definitely think it can be. Please let us know that you still care about this large part of your player base that has been treated very poorly this entire season. Even something as small as "We are working on improving the soloq experience" in the next patch notes will suffice.
Note to the community: I can't stop you guys from posting what you want and I shouldn't be able to - it's a necessary freedom you have. But please be constructive and let Riot see that we are passionate about the game and the soloq experience without a hateful, spiteful rhetoric.
