Confused about post-placements

I just finished my placements. I was aiming for Bronze 1, but got Bronze 2 which I can't complain about (Bronze 4 after placement last season).

One of the games my GPU died and I spent 30 mins fixing it -,- It was a remake, counts as a loss, fair enough.

However I'm a bit confused, I believe my performance throughout the 9 games I played is far better than Bronze?

Only 1 game I didn't play well, the first placement. I didn't feed but lost lane.

Match history here: http://matchhistory.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/EUW1/33092957?matchType=2

On one hand I'm happy with Bronze 2 but on the other hand, I wonder what I actually have to do to become Silver level?

Is this just me being salty or do you think I am good enough for Silver?

EDIT

I thought MMR was reset each season. I'm probably held back by the HUGE losses I got when I tried playing Ranked before I barely learned the game (in 2015)

I like those posts.

You got placed higher than you ended (?) last season, so the system already thinks you're better than Bronze 3, but your MMR is still inflated from last season tho. KDA means nothing, your grades mean nothing, your roles mean nothing (and really, play 2 roles to climb, not 4 or even 5, it really helps improving). What matters is if you're winning or losing. Win more games, and you get to silver. Probably, you will already get matched with silver players, and if you manage to win these games, your LP gain will be higher than usual (speaking of 25ish+, given usual LP gain is around 20), which will get you there eventually.

Placements are super wierd,

But basically you will most of the time get placed lower than your previous rank. Bronze is the exception though because the MMR is lower than the average they use.

Even if you go 10-0. If you were bronze 5 last year when it ended, you will end up low bronze or maybe even bronze 1.

If it was a fresh account, you might have been able to get the silver status right out of placements.

It looks silver worthy or better. But the ranking system is not designed to be fair, its designed to reduce the chance that a good player ranks up. Chances are that if you keep playing you will rank up to silver. Beyond that depends on your champion and your skill with being able to win even when Riot stacks the odds against you (because you will get AFK players, trolls, and feeders in your promos). And for some reason Riot likes to throw these into the mix pretty often. They even Auto-Fill you in promos.

What rank did you end at last season?

Don't put too much stock into placements. Be glad your placements improved as much as they did and start to climb now.
