What is even the point of Ranked if my rank is determined by how well I can perform in situations like this?
To be fair i looked up the lucian and he is clearly smurfing. Wouldn't of mattered how well your team did
It happens to every decent player out there, don't feel too bad. It is soul crushing though, makes you wonder why they allow monkeys at the zoo to use computers.
Ranked involves some tests of resilience to tilt. If you can look past the game and know it's a loss, you're still 3/1 for those 4 games. Just gotta breathe and avoid carrying tilt into your next game and I'm sure you will do great.
Gotta keep it at ~50%. Only one way to ensure that you don't win more. Give your feeding, toxic players...

I feel your pain. In my promos for plat, I had to do them FOUR times. The reason being, I had at least 1 troll, inter, and someone being toxic in probably half of those games if not more. Climbing back into promos? Normal games, acceptable losses and good wins. I swear it feels like the system actively works against you.
last night was awful, ended up dodging twice. i got jungle both times but both of my carries each time just had abyssmal stats. i wasn't about to play for a forced loss in either of those situations.
im talking under 35% total win rates, falling from plat 5. silver 2 MMR less than 4cs per minute average. 12% champion win rates after 15 games etc. there was no hope for those games. i just said, no, no league tonight. zero reason to tank my MMR for their personal enjoyment.
For me they just put a lvl 30 unranked jax top that went 0/15 in less than 20 min
It was actually pretty sad, because everyone was flaming him, and wasn't his fault.. He didn't ask to be there, he deserved to be queue will newbies like him
Riot should fix that shit, Overwatch already back off this algorithm to force 50% win chance, because most of the times just happen to have that shit, someone with a inflated mmr due win streak and the game had to put a garbage on the team to "even out" the %
This is pretty common in ranked, all you got to do is spam ranked games and if your (Bronze-Plat.), always stall for late game. The amount of late game throws in that elo bracket is so high that its almost always worth never ffing in ranked until 40 min. I have won ranked games that were fare more lopsided then the one you posted in 40+ minutes.

But even if that weren't the case, in placement matches you're far more likely to get wild discrepancies in skill levels because it's such a mixed bag of players. You may have players who are genuinely new (as in, just hit level 30 for the first time), smurfs from a wide range of elos, people who created new accounts after being banned, players who played norms for a very long time before ever diving into ranked, etc.
Looks like you didn't do very well to help your lanes or to calm your team's infighting down.
To be fair, Orianna was hardcountered by Fizz and Kog'Maw was hardcountered by Lucian. Those are some of the few matchups where you're not even safe under turret. I'm not sure how it's possible to feed a Sion as Nasus though, you can basically outheal his damage.
Tell me more.... On my second account my Bot lane and Jungle gave them a triple kill before minions even spawned. Those were my placements too.

i'd love it if riot would do some type of thing where to play a champion in ranked you need to have at least a mastery 5 or 4 or higher cause it's frustrating when they aren't very good at the champion yet and ruins the match most the time cause of their feeding or something else
One of the reasons I quit Ranked back in Season 3. I win 7 games in a row of my 10 placement matches, then proceed to lose the following 10 games after due to people intentionally feeding, going afk, or otherwise ruining the game.
MMR system is kinda trash. It basically says, oh you've been winning a lot so your MMR is higher, lets put you w/ lower MMR people (folks who lose a lot) and "hurr durr the teams are 'balanced'"
Edit: This is why I sometimes HATE playing when i've been on a winstreak, because I'm rolling the dice with my teammates MMR (Skill level) vs the enemy team's skill level.
Lol I know that feel, I won my G2 promos on my first try, shot up to G1 then dropped... and now? Well I'm looking forward for my 6th attempt again to G2.
