Playing mages mid is a noobtrap

There's no reason to be playing them over mobile assassins. An equally skilled Leblanc, Fizz, Ahri, Zed, or Talon will beat you easily. Whenever I play Ahri vs a mage I know I'm going to get fed ggez.

Don't fall for the trap, don't play bad mages mid. All mages will eventually be supports soon like Morgana and Brand.

Mages require insane amount of skill compared to assassins as well. Why play Velkoz/TF/Anivia/Karthus when you can just climb easily with Ahri/Fizz? Just stressing yourself out for nothing.

It's almost as bad as buying ohmwrecker.

EDIT: not to mention you got mana issues and half of the real viable picks do not. So your first buy is lost chapter (for example) versus their serrated dirk or hextech revolver. Yikes.
