Dodging a Game

Just want to point out to Riot that your penalty for dodging a game should be reviewed. When we have two people in champ select arguing over who gets to be adc and both lock in a Caitlyn and a Varus, I am not playing that game. I didn't even get to pick yet cause I was last pick. top and Jungle were the positions to be filled besides adc because we had a Morgana support and a Xerath mid. I'm sorry if you want to penalize me because I don't want to lose tons of LP because two people decide to go adc and fight over the same cs instead of working together as a team. You really need to rethink the dodging a game penalty. Because honestly there is no reason I should be penalized in that situation for saving my whole team a huge LP loss.

I've won plenty of games where I had to share farm bot lane. Honestly, until I can feel influential to the team with more than one support (that I'm losing to his fucking rework anyway Zilean ), I would rather duo marksman.

Morg would've actually been fine top if Caitlyn or Varus really refused to go, you just needed to pick a real jgler.

Negative, both were intent on screwing the other over. Not helping each other. Your point would not work in this situation.

Trolls and breaking the meta don't directly cause losses, even if there's a correlation. You're not guaranteed a loss, and thus not guaranteed to prevent a loss through dodging.

You are directly wasting the time of the opposing 5 players though. That's an indisputable direct connection, there queue time and pick/ban communication being trashed is 100% your fault from dodging there.

There's to many issues with dodging being acceptable for them to realistically hold any other position on dodging.

The most obvious is that whatever power you give to 1 player is multiplied 10 fold due to 10 people being thrown together for each match.

This also generally means taking penalties from dodging a game everyone wants to dodge is only going to apply 1/10th of the time, or at the very least 1/5th of the time.

Whatever time span players have to acceptably dodge is divided by 10 for how often that will impact them. Give 1 free dodge a day and you run into 9 dodged games for every 1 you voluntarily dodge - assuming everyone you play against plays LoL for the same span of time. If you play for 6 hours a day and the average is only 2 hours, you could run into 27 dodged games for every game you dodge.

With systemic dodging you also eliminate a lot of communication pre-game (why bother if the game's probably going to be dodged?).

You'd also be forcing the meta down everyone's throats if not adhering directly to it would make 1/5th of the player base irate enough to dodge.

Finally, there's nothing democratic about dodging the game - it's always 1 guy overrides the desires of 9 other people and wastes there time.

Two adcs, that don't work together, compete with each other and won't help the other if the other is in danger....ya I saved an automatic loss. Try again.
