My understanding of it is, when you cast it on an enemy it creates a clone that, after a short delay, casts a stronger version of one of your basic spells and then disappears. Its like her old ultimate but the mimic does the spellcasting instead of Le Blanc.

There's an alternate version of her ult when you self-cast it which is a longer lasting clone that walks towards the nearest enemy champion and casts a fake spell at them. Maybe similar to the ghosts created by Frost Queen's Chain active.

Basically it slows down her burst combo by making her ult-bosted mimic spell a little bit slower to come out, giving opponents more time to react, but it also gives her the ability to control when she goes untargetable from her clone effect and when your copy appears and what the copy does, which is supposed to make her more tricky and difficult to kill.

I could be wrong though, it is kind of confusing.

Geez. I don't get what's so hard to understand. It's simple and there are even videos of it.

It works like Heimer's Upgrade or Karma's Mantra.

First you cast (R)Mimic, then you get a window of X seconds where you can cast any of her basic abilities or recast the ult for a completely different effect.

That's it.

TL;DR It works exactly as it does on live, except you have to click twice to use LeBlanc's ult, not once.

It's not just LeBlanc's ultimate. It's just buffed LeBlanc? She was op to begin with and now she's more op with less work you have to do now that her Q mark is her passive.

Well, that's not what Imeant... I mean what does that thing even do? I have so fking huge problem understanding it and I don't even know why...

Hardly. Her damage is heavily delayed, plus you can't double-pop the Sigil of Malice anymore.

It's simple!

  1. Mimic now functions nearly identically to Karma's Mantra or Heimer's Upgrade, with the exception of having a separate cooldown. E.g. Karma needs her basic spell off cooldown to Mantra it, LeBlanc doesn't.
  2. Mimicking basic spells sends out a clone that copies the spell and disappears soon after. The clone's attack is purely visual.
  3. You can also double tap R, to create a clone that will seek out a champion and attack them with the last spell used. This attack is purely visual. This effect also has a separate cooldown from Mimicking a basic spell.

Ah... It does seem a little clunky to me ._. Especially the 2nd point, so does that work a way it just "doublefires" the spell but one of them is casted by the clone and it's ony visual? Like what purpose it serves? Could it be even different direction than the original spell? If not, the it is only like the enemy would see doubled but he's going to dodge the same thing, only little bit more colorful, if you understand me...

Not quite, her mimic'd ability (other than the mimic'd ultimate) actually does more damage than its basic spell equivalent, it isn't purely visual. Only her R-R doesn't do anything, it's a fakeout move.

It's been like this since 2013.

It isn't purely visual.

It is purely visual, as the decoy doesn't deal any damage and I sure it will be considered a single spell for all kinds of TLDs and spellshields.

No, because as I understand it (I could be wrong) the mimic casts the spell and not you: thus, the mimic's spell is actually causing damage because you aren't casting anything.

The way I read it, it sounds like by "with" they mean that if either spell finishes the damage happens. It doesn't sound like either leblanc or the clone casts the real spell, it seems like they both cast the exact same spell. (I may be terribly off, but it's not 100% clear)

LeBlanc is an illusionist.

Illusions are there to deceive your eyes.

Terabyte Marine1 votes

I must have been deceived then, as I can't tell which one casts the real spell.

Vistha Kai1 votes

The decoy is an illusion. It does nothing, but look pretty.

OK, so we started treading the lore halls here.

The decoy is a decoy. It does nothing on its own, just like the R-R decoy doesn't actually cast any spells.

LeBlanc copies one of her spells and creates a Mimic decoy to cast it with her. The Mimic lasts 1 second.
