Ehh, I think it is more of a power shift. Making him less powerful without his ult.

Bronze players should ban him, he is very difficult you that ELO to play against.

People saying it's a "power-shift" make me almost die laughing. His ult has so many counters it isn't even funny, and even if he does get it to land, no gaurantee he'll get in range, with knock backs or flashes or gap openers. Unlike Zed ult which is TARGETED and places him right next to opponent, Fizz has to both land and then gap close. All the items that counter Zed ult counter Fizz ult, even worse, Fizz can't pop banshee from range either, unlike Zed. And then even if he does land it and uses the damage buff, he'll still be doing the same damage at best. He's worthless outside of ult now. He has no siege capability, unlike champions like Zed or sustain to keep up against the poking that is done during it. Again, unlike Zed. Riot needs to get their head in the game. The champion is completely olaf'd with the AP build going to 40% win rate at best since his laning will be absolutely horrid. There will be no threat at all since Fizz can't poke and can't sustain (again unlike Zed, who also relies on ult but can do something outside of it, like u know, poke) and his damage will be laughable. In AP form, he's worse than Zed in every aspect besides his E dodge. Zed: poke, sustain, no mana, better AA's, ranged wave clear (vs fizz's melee), same burst now, similiar mobility, ranged aoe slow on shadow. And the ults are Fizz's skillshot in which you still have to close distance vs Zed's targeted, puts you right next to opponent with an escape via where he came from. And Riot thinks Zed is balanced. LOL, there is a reason Zed, the most toxic assassin of them all, has a higher ban rate then the "toxic fizz" and every other "toxic" assassin and it's not because he's balanced.

All the good fizz players will be shifting to AD bruiser fizz builds now, the changes are a slight buff to the play style and it fixes some of AP fizz's problems, mainly sustain against poke and trades. The damage after the AP nerfs will be about the same between both builds since both builds will benefit from the 20% boost and Q's damage with bruiser will stay the same while the W changes are a net buff. Plus, as a bruiser, fizz is quite a bit tankier and with all his spells being AP while he'll have heavy AD, have fun against the mixed damage. Banshee's won't save you from bruiser fizz. And it doesn't rely on such an unreliable ult to do something.

Fizz is not Fish1 votes

Yeah, I say it's a buff to AD fizz when W's missing health% becomes on-hit. With a BoRK and active W, every AA can get 8% max health mixed damage.

I think it'S a good change.

With theses nerfs. If he gets fed, we will no longer one-shot everyone with Q: He'll need to use his other spells.

It's a mix of nerf/power shift. He's more ult reliant early on and deals a little less later on. Of course if he get snowballing he can still be an absolute monster. Making him more ult reliant early on, I think is a good idea, it really forces him to be smarter about his engages. As said of many changes before, I think it will separate the great Fizz players from the bad ones.

He can't snowball as he will deal no damage, his ult is so unreliable, only low elos will get hit by it and make it reliably worthwhile. There are so many ways to negate it that higher elos will avoid it reliably. But you are right that it will seperate the great Fizz players. The great fizz players are already talking about gearing for AD, like I have been.

I've seen AD bruiser do pretty well. Not sure how glass cannon AD would work. One thing I think Riot needs to work on is making the ult more reliable. I picked up Fizz at one point to try him out, I kid you not, saw the fish hit my target on multiple occasions, yet not stick to them.
