Many champions other than Vayne work well in a tank meta. As soon as I heard about Cinderhulk on the PBE I started practicing tanks and tank-killers to prepare for the meta.

Trundle KogMaw Vayne Malzahar Karthus Amumu Kayle MasterYi Rumble are all good champions to know when tanks are strong.

item 3035 item 3135 item 3071 item 3153 item 3151 are useful items to have distributed through your team to improve you damage against tanky targets.

Mordekaiser is a surprisingly good champion to know, since he can easily give your team a second ADC and tanks don't have enough damage to kill him through his shield and spellvamp.

If you weren't posting from a forum smurf people might be able to give you more specific advice.

I really hate karthus against tanks... no %hp dmg, and banshees vs karth ult is sadness

Karthus doesn't have percent health damage, but he has high sustained damage and his wall reduces magic resistance by 15% for 5 seconds. He can easily stay in your backline and help melt anybody who tries to dive onto your ADC.

Banshee's Veil isn't usually an issue, since it will typically have already been popped by the time you would use your ultimate in a fight anyways.

why would anyone play a non mobile mid in this easy mode engage/tower dive at level 6 and still walk away with full health meta?????

Most champions typically can't really kill you under tower and leave with full health unless one of the following are true:

you get chunked really low
you are behind
they are ahead

This typically means that you screwed up beforehand and were punished for those previous mistakes.

Karthus has a lot of range so he can easily farm and poke from a distance, avoid taking return damage (sidestep the skill-shots), and he can stay close to his tower unless he decides to overextend. In addition, he has a strong slow and can keep casting after he dies, which can allow him to get return kills if someone tries to dive him.

Did you mean me? Sorry, I only really put up champions I had experience playing and I haven't really played Vel'koz outside of ARAM. In addition, most Vel'koz players I've seen have been support so I kinda forgot how good he would be against tanks.

Burst damage, sustained damage, CC, and true damage with low cooldowns work very well for killing and kiting tanks.

No worries man just messing with you but yeah he's great and what other guy said he does damage and even as mid can peel for your adc and with his q and r slowing item 3151 melts tanks too

No no no, that's now how it works. To defeat the tank meta, try this:

Have some form of peel for the adc. Nobody seems to care the adc has been meta for so long, so it's about time we remember how to teamwork.
Do not try to 100-0 tanks. Don't waste all your cc on them, but don't flat-out ignore them.
Have the adc focus the tank, but don't be afraid to damage them too. The first team to lose their frontline is the most vulnerable to damage.

Sion is only a problem for bad Vaynes. A good one will never get hit by his skills except to be slowed (or a surprise ult). Sej is only a problem with her Ult, if Vayne gets QSS she should be alright unless the Sej is super fed.
