Protect Picks in Ban Phase
You are capable of informing people that a champion is being shown as a pick during the ban phase and still people troll you or "make mistakes". Why not just block the ban of that champion completely?

Because you wanting to pick a champion is not a good enough to not be allowed to ban that champion. Obviously, a person shouldn't ban a champion you declare in order to troll you, but if a person feels it isn't worth the risk of letting the enemy team pick that champion, it's a justifiable reason to ban it.
This has already been discussed ad nauseam, so the short answer is Ban>Pick. Grow up and play it out or dodge.
heres how "protected picks" will go down
(Person A and Person B are on the same team, they are on the second pick team)
Person A: Is banning
person B: protects a highly contested champion
person A: can no longer ban that champion
enemy team: first picks the highly contested champion
person A flames person B for not letting A ban the champion
