New Crowd Control: Disarm
After the great fall of Talon in '14, I started to think about what he really did that others couldn't do better. And I realized, he used to be a spectacular anti-ADC.
In a game where you can have 100% crit but no Dodge chance, ADCs are getting especially "not fun" to play against. Not just ADC marksmen, really, any AD hypercarry. So, I'm here to suggest a new crowd control effect: Disarmament (Disarm or DA).
In a nutshell, Disarm will disable all of the afflicted champion's autoattacks, but not their abilities. However, all autoattack modifier abilities will be disabled (with exception of Udyr, he can change stances, but their on-hit ability won't take effect until after the Disarm). An example would be Jax
. If Jax is disarmed, he can still leap and counterattack, but his on-hit buff cannot be used.
Also, abilities that apply on hit effects, like Fizz's Q or Ezreal's Q will not be silenced, but the on-hit effect will not proc (crit, sheen, gauntlet, lich bane).
Disarm's purpose is to actually allow a team to fight back against a hypercarry, ADC, or any autoattack-focused champ
Examples include:
and many more...
To stop an ADC/Hypercarry, a stun shouldn't always be necessary to get them to stop autoattacking. If you have any comments, questions, complaints, or flames, please feel free to say them. Keep flames to a minimum, plz
Edit In comparison to a blind, it's a similar effect. However, in a blind, only physical damage is negated, not things like Jax's passive, Poppy's self-buff, or Lich Bane. Also, in a blind, a champion will still attack, but it will just miss. So let me rephrase, in a Disarm, you cannot attack at all. The attack animation will be disabled until the disarm is over.
