I can't stand Bard's bad reputation...

I play with my friends a lot and I got Bard a while back, and my friends don't let me play him when we are together. I know he can be pretty detrimental to a team when played wrong. But thats no reason to hate him, escpecially in normals... guaruntee that after one game of Lustboy playing him in the LCS all the fanboys will start playing him.

And I will be here.

Shaking my fucking head.

I don't think he's bad. It's just impossible to play him truly well with randoms. The ult. has the potential to ruin so many teamfights. I remember a game where I was Kassadin and Bard ulted their backline (leaving Kat and a Voli) to rip me to pieces because I was saving my ult to actually try to go on their Jinx. By the time Bard's ult ends, I'm chunked pretty hard and can't even do my job as an assassin/disruptor.

If Bard completely lacked an ult, I bet people wouldn't rage about him as much even if his winrate was the same.

I thought his Q was getting buffs this patch ;-; Those were all he needed...

But yeah all the Bard bitching is getting annoying. Had a Jinx yesterday that whined about him a lot early, about how bard was a garbage champ. She ended the game 7/14/10, he ended the game 4/6/19. Admittedly picking Bard when you have a Jinx ADC is pretty dumb, but still. Bard never did anything terribly bad or trolled or had a bad ulti.

I'm not saying he's worthless, but he's definitely too weak to see high level competitive play at the moment, especially since he doesn't really fit the current meta.

A couple patches from now, after he sees a few buffs, I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a popular LCS pick, at which point, yeah, everyone's going to be playing him (see also: Nautilus).

For some reason people havn't figured out how to use his ult as a catch and stall ability. There are maybe a few clutch instances where using his ult in a teamfight is worth it, but should really be saved for before and after. Use the ult for peel, or to catch someone out like an ashe ult. You honestly want to keep from ulting ur own team tbh.

Other then that I feel he's a little lack luster, but he actually peels pretty well with Q and passives. The few bards iv played with that did really well built tanky aswell, not some ap varient.

I think he's pretty decent by I wouldn't want to play with him in lane. I've had to many bad experiences where i'm practicly 1v2 while he goes on his minigame and having a blast.
