So what's the consensus on the Yorick rework

Even though it's extremely early, I think he's pretty OK honestly. I like his mist walkers, they kinda seem dumb so far but i love their damage potential and that they follow you. I'm kinda iffy on they summoning conditions though feels very situational. Like the Q feel the cooldown is a bit too long considering it's they only true way to get walkers.

LOVE the W i think it's one of if not the most powerful part of his kit.

His E is just meh, don't hate it don't love it feels a lil tacked on.

His ult now this feels and looks extremely underwhelming :/ Watched a couple games and the ult looks like one of the weakest part of his kit, I see the potential for it to be OP but i think riot worrying about that kinda overcompensated a bit.

What are your opinions, also wouldn't seeing what some reds think.

His E should be used to slow down enemies, as well as get your walkers to jump on them. It's a very powerful ability, so don't knock it. It gives the person you are targeting a slow, which helps to get you to the champ and slap them with your Q. His kit works, for everything, needs to work together to function.

His R is good for helping to push down lanes, as well as targeting champs with you. Think of the lady of the mist as a big minion, who is going to help you double team champs.

I usually will Q,Q,Q until I have three minions, then I will slap a slow, throw down a W, then go in with a Q.

While I do wish his q was shorter, I think changing it will overload him.

I've been playing him. Had some good games, had some bad.

I think his kit is a little too reliant on landing his E, which has an awkward cast and is probably one of the easier skillshots to dodge. His impact in either a duel or a team fight drastically changes depending on landing it, and it's on a fairly long cooldown. Also, his W's range seems really short.

If I were in charge, I'd have considered making his E easier to land, increasing the range of his W, and then nerfing his Q to compensate. Yorick is currently a buff bruiser even without his trickery, and it's pretty easy for him to win an all-in against a more "martial" melee champ armed only with his fat Q, which makes him seem overpowered to some.

Yoricks CS potential is massive with very little effort. Last hit on minions with Q is so simple! CDR Builds are Key for his E and R, Trinity Force or Iceborn Gauntlet etc are fantastic first items for him with that 20% (depending on your match up) You can build AP or AD bruiser, Hybrid AD/AP with gunblade or rage blade, or full tank with split push capability's with his ult. His mobility and mana dependence's early game are his big weakness.

I still believe Yorick to be a teemo counter, teemos blind isn't that long and yorick AA isn't "super strong" fact is that's the only thing teemo can stop. Yorick still has other ways to cause damage, from his E for the ghoul targeting or his Ult, that brings her own Ghouls with her, so after level 6 theres no way to stop Yoricks farming.

But honestly, this rework is fantastic I absolutely love him. Compaired to the ryze rework, Yorick knocks it outa the park :)

Yorick is going to suffer from the same issues that Illaoi suffers from. If she's strong, then she's too strong, if she's weak, then she's too weak. Yorick has no reliable CC at all and his damage focused on 1 ability (His Q). As being an old Yorick player, I will say that new Yorick is harder to play, but they fixed absolutely nothing about this champion. You still feel completely worthless in teamfights and you fall off very hard in the late game. Plus, I really wish they could have kept his old concept of summoning unique ghouls that serve different purposes that you could control a bit easier rather than "Nasus farm ghouls with Q" and"hit your e or your ghouls don't do anything."

Now my other issue is why would you play Yorick now? Is it because of his farm with Q playstyle? Because if that's the case, you could just play Nasus, GP, or Irelia and get the same effect with a better late game outcome. Is it because he's a split pushing bruiser? Well you could again play Nasus or Singed or Jax and get the same outcome, but with a better late game. Is it because he can summon ghouls? Well Malzahar is still a champion and has a much easier time of controlling his Voidlings and has a much better kit than Yorick's in my opinion. Is it because you can summon a huge monster with your ultimate? Well you could just play Mordekaiser and get that same effect when you take a dragon or even kill a champion. Plus you can actually CONTROL Mordekaiser's ghost.

Overall, my experiences with him have not been too great. Most of the popular champs in top lane can just run up to him and bully him out of lane or can just completely ignore fighting him because in the later parts of the game, he will fall off. Yorick is like Nasus in the way that all of his damage is centered around 1 ability, but the thing is that Nasus has other abilities that help him utilize his 1 ability (Siphoning Strike), which also, in my opinion, is sort of anti-fun for the player since you have to last hit with Q and that's your only way to fight, as well as landing your e or your ghouls just go off and do whatever. Yorick just lacks mobility, late game pressure, and anything in his kit to really contribute to teamfights to really ever be justifiable as being a pick.

Also, if you are having trouble beating him, just pick anyone with a dash or someone who can just all in him early.
