With the range on his Ultimate, would it be possible to stand in a spot where you (as Tahm) can ult all the way back to the fountain, and then have him eat an allied 
with his ult just as hits a hook and have Blitz, Tahm and the enemy all ride back to the Tahm's fountain? If that actually works, then Riot needs to do something about it.

Not really. Even if it did work (doubtful), setting that scenario up, much less, timing it correctly, would be so ridiculously difficult that it's not something anyone should worry about.
Manwalrus1 votesI looked at the channel time again and I think that it could work if Blitz took Thresh lantern at an extremely long range Also I agree that the chance it will happen is low, but it could impact the game quite a bit.
Deep Terror Nami1 votesGimmick strategies like that can work, but they usually pale in comparison to just playing the game as usual. If you see Tahm winding up his ult and standing next to Blitz, dodge spellshield or get out of range and his ult will be wasted.
It won't impact the game at all unless you repeatedly allow it.
