hi we all knw how mages have a cheap 1100 gold item that gives flat 18 magic pen that is fully effective the moment you buy it

but AD have no lethality runes anymore and max you can get is only 60.

Also AD assassin does not really have any core boots item that is meant for them only. they can go CDR or tabi, either cause there is no other option that screams YES this is what I want!. tenacity is useless lel and no one buys mobis

so maybe we can have some boots that gives lethality, like +15 or something.

oh no we can only get 60 lethality ;< i can deal true damage to an adc or midlaner even with GA or zhonyas :<<<<<

let me do the same damage but early game with boots and 2 dirks pls ty

You can't do true damage to Mids with Zhonyas with 60 Leth.

On topic, ya ADs don't need Leth boots.

Even with Sudden Impact, you won't deal true damage to a mage with Zhonyas.

Also keep in mind that Magic Pen is stronger then Leth to begin with. By the time you actually have 60 full Lethality, the enemy Champion will have around 80 base Armor or more, then you add in the Armor items they may have.

20 Leth on Duskblade ignores 12.44-20 based on level, so if you have all 3 leth items, you would only ignore 36.38-60 Armor Pen based on level, Zhonya's gives 45 armor, so you won't be even hitting the base armor until around level 15 or 16.

3 items + sudden impact = 70 lethality at level 18.

at level 18, base armor of a squishy alone exceeds that amount. add in zhonya/GA and you have a good amount of armor left.

So yea...at no point in game, any AD assassin is not doing true damage to any squishy

They get pen boots because they have like 3 pen items total. AD has a shit load of pen items

because there is far more armor in the game than mr.

on top of it, we lost out 27 mr at lvl 18. at least i did from my runes.

dont forget that void staff still grants total magic pen. so you get around 15 magic pen even against targets who dont build mr. lets also not forget, that magic pen is frontloaded, while lethality has to scale.

i dont think lethality boots are neccessary at the moment, since lethality builds are strong enough as is, and adding additional lethality sources would only lead to problems. but there is a reason why there is so little flat magic pen comparably.
