How do I gank Vel'Koz?

I play WW and anytime Vel is mid or support I can't gank, and when he has ult not only can I not even get close, I die. Also, tips on gank routes in general would be nice too.

If he's warding properly there will be very few openings. The best way to get him would be to bait him into using his knockup while out of position. I find a good way to do that is to get your mid laner to drop a control ward somewhere he can see it. When Vel moves out of position to take the control ward or harass your laner while he clears wards with it, you have an opening.

Harder said than done, but when he uses his knockup thing. Hold down q and displace on the other side. Same when he ults too.

I also struggle to play WW or Shyvana because I find it really difficult to know when I should jump in and I usually end up being chased and chain cc'd. It's really frustrating not knowing how to approach a teamfight or if I should dive a tower or not and I really want to not be useless.

Dive him. He's squishy as hell and is very reliant on being t a safe distance.

His E isn't the easiest thing to lend do the predictability, and good positioning and smart movements can let you avoid his Q( which is a bit more reliable mind you), so he's not ungankable. This should be made easier since WW can move really fast.

But to be honest, looking at your match history, I'm thinking jungle mechanics might be the big problem for you. I would suggest looking up guides somewhere else. Mobafire was helpful back when I was learning the game, although you should find multiple guides for the best perspective.

Looking at that one particular velkoz game though, it probably didn't help that your adc and supp basically ran down mid.
