I don't understand Riven's kit

She has a dash, or three, idk, and she has a stun and a shield... Why? Gonna admit, this is pretty much me QQing, but I just got destroyed by a Riven that towerdives me with half health while i had 3/4 and leaves with 1/4, i don't understand that. She would dodge all my skillshots(seeing how i only had one, i doubt i really could have baited it out without her dashing me and just burst me). She 3v1 my team and lost 1/4 of her health, I just don't understand why someone can do all that and stun you so you can't even retaliate. Just makes the game not fun at all :/

The same reason that ap Rengar works sometimes; ratios where they don't belong. Riven has ad ratios on everything, including her shield for some reason. Her e is debatable, but either way they are so high that it seems op. Also, these good abilites are not gated by mana and hardly gated by cooldowns unless it's very early. These are most of the problems really with most op champs, not just Riven; ratios and ability gating (or lack of it) and although mobility and utility take part a lot as well, these are things that could be fixed without actually changing gameplay.

The problem with Riven has always been letting her animation cancel near everything in her kit. If Riot were to address that, it would solve a lot of issues and allow her to be balanced properly.

I will explain. Give random champion similiar abilities cd to riven cds, then watch what happen.

Yeah, losing makes the game not fun. Try winning, it greatly improves the experience.

If you played someone who actually counters her, say like a Garen or a Darius or a Renek or even Irelia and Trynd can work vs her if equally skilled. Riven's strength only comes out AFTER she gets about 35% CDR. You can actually bully her with early gamers really hard until then... dont ask me how I know, I learned the hard way....

I played Riven yesterday (after not playing her for months), fed in lane, had almost no cs, couldn't animation cancel: went godlike after flashing into the enemy team, pressing w and mashing keys for a double or triple kill... You can play Riven bad and still dominate.
