Number of bans in draft pick(ranked or normal)

Banning champs has become difficult, as there are now 123 champs compared to what I believe started out as 40 or so. Three bans per team adds up to 6. Which out of 40 was a pretty fair amount out of 40, but out of 123, it leaves o may left up for grabs that it is impossible to ban every overpowered champ and you get little diversity as a result, since everyone wants the op champs. I want to know if Riot has considered increasing the number of bans per team, nothing drastic, just maybe up to 5 per team, which would allow for a little more diversity. I'd also like to hear what others think about the number of bans.
