Nasus q and Kalista passive

Pretty much, the title. I was in an aram game, kalista bonded with me, figuring her passive mark would make it easier for me to farm q stack. I thought so too. Instead, it had the opposite affect I got no stacks at all whenever I farmed a minion she marked. Is this an oversight, bug, or working as intended?

Working as intended. The passive damage counts as Kalista's damage, so she gets the kill credit. Presumably it was intended for easier Bot/Support farming on Summoner's Rift.
