Blame your Jungler!

Trust me, it gets you more ganks when you rage at them and tell them how the whole game is lost because you ganked other lanes because they picked Kha'zix into Quinn top.

This strategy works 100% of the time to get more ganks.

Rage at us more.

God this is the most frustrating thing. I hate it when lanes blame the jungle for their poor ability to lane.

Darius picked solo top pushes Jax under turret dies to ganks because he doesn't ward. does this 3 more times. Blames jungle for losing lane. Said "Its jungle's job to ward river."

hiemy is rooted in mid with 3 turrets and a 2 level lead on our soraka (yes soraka) mid.... She calls for a gank and then recalls when I get to the bush. chat is filled with "WTF WOODTIER JUNGLE GG."

Bottom consists of Morgana and Lux (they both wanted to mid but were the last 2 to pick so they just go ap bot because why not) THey get REKT by vayne and Blitzcrank lose turret. I get blasted in chat with "SHIT JUNGLE NO GANKS, FAILED GANKS DONT COUNT." then I get reported afterwards.

3 scenarios that have happened this week. PLEASE I WANT TO HEAR ABOUT OTHER JUNGLES THAT HAVE HAD THIS KIND OF FUN!

Here's a little story for everyone. First game 5.5 last night.

Zed mid vs Lux. Kalista and Taric vs Varus and Bard bot. Fizz vs Yasuo top. Me as Skarner vs Vi jungle.

I've just finished my first full clear and happen to be in river near to mid at level 4 doing crab (have not yet backed so I only have machete and low health) when Zed pings Lux and goes in without waiting for me. I'm about half a screen away from the weeds and he is at half health. Lux stuns him and he gives up first blood long before I ever get there.

Zed: "FUCKING SCRUB SKARNER YOUR SHIT" Me: "lol, wut?"

Apparently he though I was there to gank the Lux that was sitting on the other side of the lane about 2 screens away. He does this again about 5 times over the next 10 minutes and then proceeds to intentionally feed for most of the rest of the game.

After going back and getting Trialblazers and some armor, I roll mid (Zed hasn't returned yet), 1v1 Lux, and nab some free minion gold/xp for the effort. Next I roll down to bot (crab is gone but so is it's buff so they don't see me) because their Varus is over extended and alone. I also saw that their support Bard had just gone back. Our Kalista is also back at base. But our Taric is there. 2v1 on the enemy ADC looks good. We have river warded. They don't. I go to ward tribush before ganking. Vi jumps on my face. Varus comes running and kills both me and Taric.

Kalista to all: "our jungler sucks. Can't gank."

Really? I mean, really? We die because you didn't ward your own tribush, and you blame it on me, who was actually trying to cover your sorry ass? lrn2ward, noob.

So I go farm jungle for a bit, get my Cinderhulk and then gank bot again because they are feeling all sorts of over-confident despite their low health, being over extended, and Vi is up top ganking Fizz. We each get a kill losing only Kalista. Apparently I don't suck anymore.

Now, I've been keeping tabs on the score and knew that Fizz had already killed Yasuo 3 times to none. So when I see Vi rolling up the river for the third time, I decide to go camp it. Its back and forth up there for a bit with laning ending and some rotations starting. Fizz and I get fed hard. doubles, triples, etc. I end up on a 9 kill streak before finally getting deaded once more.

So I buy Iceborne Gauntlet and Wit's End in quick order. The tanky, sticky, AoE slows all day rift beast face-fucks everyone for the next 10 minutes before dying again. Trinity Force added to inventory. :3

Yasuo is a non-factor at this point so we focus Lux > Vi. Somewhere in there I exchange my Cinderhulked Trailblazers for Sunfire Cape and a Black Cleaver, which was dumb because losing the percentage health bonus wasn't the right choice. Didn't really matter since the rest of the team was already pounding on Nexus turrets. GG. I finished 12/3/17. Fizz finished 21/12/9. Taric had more kills than our Kalista, and Zed... lol, 6/23/6.

I received no honors. No one said anything to Fizz either, though I'm pretty sure I remembered to honor him. The other 3 on our team left post-game chat without saying a word.

Pretty good for a shit-tier scrub that sucks and can't gank.

tl;dr: Be kind to your jungler. More than likely, he is either elsewhere securing objectives/buffs or trying to catch up because he got counter-ganked/jungled due to lack of wards.

Well of course. Telling someone that their a worthless rectal apparatus and informing them that you had their mother last night no less than a dozen times is the very height of courtesy. Every job interview I've ever attended has started with that very line.

That's why Xbox Live has always been known as a place where scholarly peoples of the world can assemble for a pleasant and intellectually stimulating exchange.

Obviously all junglers only don't gank because they're ***holes.

Has nothing to do with: a) ganking lanes which have a better carry champion (Vayne, Akali, Draven, Ahri, Zed) than your Mundo so that your team can actually win late-game b) having died because you recalled all three times they came to gank c) having to clear their jungle so that they aren't 3 levels under the enemy SUPPORT d) Securing objectives like dragon or other lanes' turrets e) Counter-jungling the enemy Udyr so he doesn't split-push the **** out of the late-game

Cannot upvote this thread enough.

SelflessTeammate3/14/2015, 6:16:10 AM4 votes

We jungler mains kinda brush it off after a while.

We're not supposed to ever get credit, really. You're the Batman of the Rift, you're the hero no one knows about. Harvey Dent is the laner always in trouble, constantly getting ganked or letting his emotions get the best of him, but still being seen as the hero at the end.

It's a running joke to start every game with "report Rengar for jungling" (or any jungler), because laners seem to expect a jungler to literally win their lane for them. What they don't get is that isn't what a jungler does. At all. In fact, I'm of the camp (heh) that says you should never enter a losing lane because of the inherent risk involved. You may throw a ward down if their jungler decides to get cute, which is a good idea, but ganking a losing lane is so inherently risky (potentially giving their fed opponent a double or, heaven forbid, their adc a triple kill and their support three assists) that I just don't think you should ever do it.

Laners that don't grasp the idea that they're outmatched and hopelessly out-leveled and out-geared don't feel that way, of course. And these summoners are simply not in touch with reality. The way I see it, a jungler's primary job is to secure lanes from losing by destroying their opponent's ability to both farm and get close to your ally. In other words, if a lane has even the slightest advantage, keep a strong eye on that lane and be ready to gank their opponent again when they come back. It'll put them on tilt, and that'll "secure" the lane.

A bonus of that is if their jungler gets fed up (heh again) with that losing laner's whining and comes to help just to shut them up, but if the lane's sufficiently secure (and you're nearby, which you probably are, and you also probably warded the hell out of any entry points), the power gap is such that it's impossible for a gank to succeed, as their jungler just won't be strong enough. And because you're smart enough to ward around them to prevent any ganks from anywhere else, you can counter-gank with relative ease if anyone tries. After that, The Snowball will be in very much effect.

Lanes that are more or less tied, but your laner is getting pushed back in cs, you attack the ones that are over-extended. If you see some Darius way too far up top lane to the point that he won't see you even coming from river whether it's warded or not (or by then it just won't matter), go get him.

But I digress. Even if you pull off a fantastic, even flawless performance as a jungler, almost no one notices. It's the laners who get the credit every single time.

BeerOfRoot48433/13/2015, 5:58:50 PM3 votes

Sorry that you're feeding! I was busy getting a double kill and taking drag. I'll warp on over to top lane and win your lane for you! Go ahead and afk, I'm omnipresent. :)

Then Riven wakes up, and cries herself back to sleep.

DemothHymside3/14/2015, 6:12:45 AM2 votes

I refuse to jungle, simply because whenever I do and a lane loses, it's my fault. Hands down, always my fault.

I try to gank when possible, or relieve pressure if someone needs to catch up, but people think it's my job to babysit their lane and get no exp or gold so they can continue their magical journey of pushing the enemy to turret and not having to worry about ganks.

"Why didn't you gank?!" Yeah, maybe it's because you don't clear their wards, don't follow up when I gank, or you stupidly fed them 3 kills in under the first 5 minutes, so going there will just get me killed too.

PL553/14/2015, 12:06:26 AM2 votes

Some people don't actually understand that ganking a failing lane can be like a high risk low reward option. Influencing other parts of the map can many times be the much better option.

Very Hard Engage3/13/2015, 10:58:34 AM2 votes

or you know, just counter and say let them have farm, give up a few cs, let them push to your tower, and ill come and gank when hes pushed up and you'll get a free kill (dont give it to him, take it anyway).

Spacesuit Spiff3/13/2015, 7:05:48 PM2 votes

Anecdotes from this week: Vi: "Ok time to gank for this Renekton" Renekton: (Completely ignores gank) Vi: "Alright time to focus on dragon" Renekton: "Vi I really need some help up here come top soon pls"

Reksai: "Ok successful gank, I'll push this wave in" Darius: "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Reksai: "...this is what you're supposed to do" Darius: "NO YOU TOUCHED MY WAAAAVE" (throws the game by raging about it for 20 minutes)

Oddysseas3/13/2015, 10:12:13 AM2 votes

Or they can mute you and never gank for you again....

COWmanLord3/13/2015, 7:08:12 PM2 votes

Unless our the adc, then you should blame your support. Everyone knows that the more you flame people the better they play.

SmknWdl3/13/2015, 2:22:29 PM2 votes

I carried a 4v5 the other day as jungle shyvana. Guess who got blamed for top losing lane cause I was camping bot (support d/c), even though we won?

Dreadlocks3/14/2015, 1:42:14 AM2 votes

The enemy jungler has been more passive than Me, due to this I am 2-0-2 with a dragon secured for the team, but because you (mid katarina) lost lane to annie, its a good idea to point out that i dont gank at all.

DoFr3/13/2015, 3:25:45 PM2 votes

when bot and top are losing, and they both ask for a gank at the same time

(keep in mind that you have to clear the jungle so when they spawn the next time, they give more exp)

man, just !@#$

Malix Farwin3/14/2015, 11:55:23 PM1 votes

What if... i don't want him to gank my lane when he is like 30% health and and wants to dive.

warpenguin5553/13/2015, 4:05:06 PM1 votes

oh thank god. i knew i was doing something right

Zarddramon3/13/2015, 7:05:17 PM1 votes

A couple weeks ago I had a Yasuo who kept asking for ganks while he kept pushing his lane hard as heck. Then he got mad at me for not ganking, got mad at me when he died and I was at base and then started complaining about how this was his 6th loss in a row. Man, no wonder you're on a losing streak. :T

acepil0t3/13/2015, 7:11:55 PM1 votes

Laners need to realize that when I ping that I'm coming and I'm halfway across the map that it doesn't mean to engage and expect a miracle to happen on my end. Not enough mobility to make it over there in time obviously but you decide to engage early because I OMW pinged. WTF?

Finlayson3/14/2015, 6:06:42 AM1 votes

Its funny how many laners don't understand that when I cover your lane I'm not pushing it. So many times I get spammed pinged and yelled at after they recall telling me, "don't push my lane" or "get out" even when i'm at our tower. Just boggles my mind

Bob the bomber3/14/2015, 5:29:07 PM1 votes

The thing is I think we cannot blame any certain group for their failure in the game. Other wise it would not be a team game. So literally all the failure is on everyone and all of the success is on everyone too.

We could spend eons pointing blames but I do not know if that would help.

That said I have had plenty of junglers that did not even recognize the fact that I asked for a gank. I totally understand that timing and other stuff gets in the way, but a simple ping or a message saying I will be _____ next would help instead of being quite the whole game...

Sirsir3/14/2015, 9:38:09 PM1 votes

I only ever really get mad at the jungler unless its one of the ones that are supposed to gank often, and they just sit in the jungle and farm all day. THAT IS NOT HOW YOU PLAY NAUTILUS! And I'm not talking about not ganking my lane, I'm not talking about not secceeding in ganks, I'm talking never even looks at a lane.

MarkedOfKane3/14/2015, 9:43:16 PM1 votes

Of course I am going to be mad when the reason you never ganked my lane was because I was shoving the entire time, even though I was farming under tower the whole game.
