Blue Essence, IP, and Stuff.

WARNING: MAY CONTAIN OPINIONS I'll get right to the point, I think that blue essence is too difficult to obtain compared to how quickly we can run through it.

Here's some math: A 6300 IP Champ disenchants to 325 Blue essence, so our ratio is ~1 : 20 (19.38). A SINGLE Tier 5 costs 500 Blue essence (~10000 IP) and tier 6 costs 600 Blue essence (~12000 IP) Assuming that you get these on a 6300 IP champion that's a total of 28300 IP value JUST for tier 6 on a SINGLE champion, and that isn't including any runes for the champion if they need custom runes. Personally I think that's waaay too much.

Here's my reasoning: Riot doesn't make any money off of the Mastery system, so the blue essence costs doesn't need to be obscenely high. I understand that you can acquire blue essence from a random champion token 1700 IP (~85 essence value), but that's a variable, because it can give you a champion shard that's worth anywhere from 60 essence to 325 essence, and the higher essence tokens are rarer, THEN what if you want the champion (assuming you don't own all the champions)? Well THEN you need to use the blue essence that you wanted to use for your mastery rank, THEN what if you dont have enough for the champion? Well THEN you have to earn up enough blue essence for BOTH anywhere from 560 blue essence (11200 IP worth) to 925 blue essence (18500 IP worth). Obvious question: Well if blue essence is so hard to get why don't you just grind IP? Obvious answer: because IP gains are REALLY REALLY LOW compared to the costs, and I can't necessarily get what I want from IP (Mastery tier 5 & 6). As a solo player my first win of the day usually nets me about 240 IP, and that will be the most I gain from a single game for 24 hours minimum. I play A LOT of league if given the chance, and I still don't own 100% of champions, or even 100% of runes, and I've played since season 4 (I'm not new).

Possible Solutions: Make IP gains higher; this would allow us to get IP thus blue essence much faster. Make blue essence easier to acquire; maybe by making it purchasable. Make Champion shards purchasable; that would mean we use blue essence for it's original purpose and quit blowing wads of it on mastery. Maybe remove blue essence and just use IP since they're basically used for the same things. Lower IP, or blue essence costs to fit how much of these we gain.

If League were an economy right now it's currency would be RIDICULOUSLY inflated. It would be like using several weeks pay to buy a loaf of bread, or more accurately a new wrench to work with. I understand that Riot needs to make money, but they aren't making most of it off of these thing anyways, so why not pander to the players a little?
