Xayah is Draven but safer and without the skill floor

I don't like this champ on two levels: 1. Thematically she's probably the cringiest in the game. 2. She's a lane bully that scales insanely hard and has some of the best team fighting and disengage of any adc except for maybe trist. What are you sacrificing by picking her?

At least when I get beat by a Draven in lane I know the player worked for it. Xayah is completely braindead.

She's a lane bully that scales insanely hard

Vayne scales harder and is a better hypercarry lategame than Xayah is.

Also most of Xayah's damage relies on her positioning and yours. Don't be in front of her feathers, kite her, and a lot of her damage is useless. If she can't land feathers with her E on you, she's as good as dead.

has some of the best team fighting and disengage of any adc

She's incredibly immobile and once she pops her ult she'll be the easiest target on the enemy team. Akali Shyvana Olaf MasterYi are just a few examples of champs that can stick to her like glue easy in a fight no matter what she tries to do. item 3111 Is also a helpful item as it reduces the duration of her snare.

If you get E'd and chunked, it is entirely your fault. A good Xayah knows how to position her feathers, all Draven has to do is hit you with his axe for that same damage early game.

As someone who mains support/adc, plays a lot of Xayah, and has supported 2 friends that main Draven, her damage early is nowhere near Draven's unless she's consistently landing E's on you, in which case, you're either bad or she's hella good.

We all know how to play around her. I'm an adc main, your whole post just comes off condescending. The point I'm trying to make is that she's an early, mid and late game champ atm. I'd like to see Riot choose 1 or 2 of those instead of all 3.

Xayah and Draven are only similar in that they're ADC's with an attack/move speed steroid, that's it. They're not even close to the same thing.

Draven w/ Aery doesn't have to work for a thing, just empowered Q to chunk you hard as hell every once in a while. The only thing he has to "work for" is catching his axes.

You missed the point of this post completely. I'm saying she has early game damage on par with Draven without any skill floor or decrease in her scaling/teamfighting.

Except she doesn't have Draven's early game damage unless she's consistently poking you. And no, it's not like she's braindead - there's a huge difference between a bad Xayah and even a decent one.

Yes, she does have comparable damage early, which wouldn't be a problem but she also scales better and has better team fighting than any other lane bully. And compared to a champ like Draven she has no skill floor. Put 2 adc mains that have never played Xayah or Draven before in a game and see which one does better. Xayah is braindead.

First off, of COURSE they'll do better with Xayah because Draven's power revolves entirely around the mechanic of catching his Qs, which is pretty unique to him. In fact, put them on anyone except maybe Kalista and they'll do better with them than Draven 100% of the time. That argument makes no sense.

Second, Draven has higher base AD scaling than her AND he has his Q, whereas Xayah relies on regular autos. For optimal damage, Draven has to poke once with Aery every few seconds to get nasty chunks out, whereas Xayah has to stick to you and keep hitting you for the same amount of damage in the same amount of time. She'd lose out on CS and get minion aggro for days whereas Draven gets to walk away free.

Yes, Draven has slightly higher poke damage (slightly) but Draven has an actual tradeoff that he's ass late game and in team fights. You actually have to have really solid mechanics to be able to make him useful past early mid game, and that's assuming you got a lead early.

Xayah has none of that tradeoff and a disengage on par with Trist. Again, what are you sacrificing by picking Xayah EVER? In what situation/matchup is she not completely blind pickable?

RenownedWheat422 votes

I'm not arguing that Xayah isn't a good blind pick champ. I'm arguing that your comparison made no sense.

Consider reading the the opening post then before posting.

Xayah does more dmg than him without aery lmfao. stop bs'ing Xayah is stupid since release.

She doesn't have empowered autos like he does, and his optimal keystones are either PTA or Aery. So including it in comparison is definitely reasonable.

She's more like a weird combo of Ashe, Ezreal, and....Jhin? I dunno.

She has a pretty unique combo of ramping damage threat, powerful utility, and situational mobility that make it hard to know how to fight her when she's ahead. Almost the Ahri/Syndra combo of adcs.

Xayah has the most disgusting burst.

I don't see the comparison to draven and I think you'll get a lot of flame for that.

Also because the majority of the boards are tyler fangirls (so don't you dare badmouth draven).
